Ep. 6 Kevin O'Brien - Before the Dive Bars Become Dove Bars

Ep. 6 Kevin O'Brien - Before the Dive Bars Become Dove Bars

Cory talks Denver with the guy mainly responsible for him moving here, his best friend since childhood comedian/podcaster Kevin O'Brien. After multiple attempts at trying to get to City View during business hours, they finally made it there on Zitro's terms.

They discuss everything from what his college days were like at Regis, working in the brewery business and the great comedy scene in Denver. He is one of the hosts of These Things Matter podcast and runs one of the best shows in town the Arguments and Grievances comedy debates. Recently voted one of Westord's Colorado Creatives.

Denfirmation from Lawsuit Models. Tapes & DL available at Mutiny Info Cafe or at Bandcamp.

Enjoy the discussion, go to Zitros City View Tavern, subscribe and rate on itunes, please.

Horror Lives! Episode 14 - Catching up

Horror Lives! Episode 14 - Catching up
With horror slowing to a teeny weeny trickle and real life commitments getting in the way it looked like that was it for our heroes. BUT THEN! BOOOM! The door of the mausoleum explodes open and out creep Peter, Joey, Richard and their lovely guest Ally to talk a bunch of crap for like two hours!

Radio Free Skaro #297 - No More Janus Thorns

Radio Free Skaro #297 - No More Janus Thorns

Radio Free Skaro dives into history with Gallifrey 2012 guests starting with Louise Jameson, otherwise known as the beautiful savage Leela, Louise was an absolute delight to talk to about her tenure on the program and her many other roles, ranging from Shakespeare to soaps and everything in between. We went further back in time with Michael Troughton, the author of a new biography about his father, Patrick Troughton and then lurched forward again to speak with Richard Franklin, who played the redoubtable Captain Mike Yates. Ringing out the program was Charlie Ross, the comedian and preeminent nerd who kept all of Gallifrey laughing with his take on our favorite TV show. Finally, RFS closed out the proceedings with David and Marty Hooie of the "Hoo on Who" podcast, friends of the show and all-around fine chaps. Enjoy!

    11 O'Clock Comics Episode 93

    11 O'Clock Comics Episode 93

Hoo, boy... The 11 O'Clock Comic train started off down the right track -- we chugged through topics like Top Shelf, the Apple iPad and our hopes and fears for the device and its impact on the comic book industry, more on Jon O's Mera and the emotional quotient to mark making, Fantastic Four #575, Remender's Punisher, The Chill and Area 10 from Vertigo Crime, Phil Hester's The Darkness from Top Cow, more Fables and Jack of Fables, Captain America, Fall of the Hulks (Alpha, Gamma, Incredible, Hulk, and Red, with a little Hulk: Winter Guard and What If? World War Hulk thrown in for good measure) -- but it all quickly runs off the rails as we begin our goodbyes when someone mentions the Deadpool variant for Siege #3, resulting in an additional twenty-some minutes of flat-out drunken CHAOS!

    Supergrass - DIAMOND HOO HAA

    Supergrass - DIAMOND HOO HAA
Another stunning and informative review by Bryan from Marbecks records. Bryan mentioned a return to form - perhaps this sounds cliche, but it does have to be said that this record surpasses Supergrass's previous effort 'Road to Rouen' which they produced themselves... Nick Launay (Arcade Fire, Nick Cave, Yeah Yeah Yeahs) joined Supergrass as a producer of DIAMOND HOO HAA, and it was recorded in Hansa studios in Berlin... now, I could begin to drop all kinds on info on you here....but, it's best to leave that stuff to the experts.. of which Bryan is one! so check his review!
