Matthieu Bost, saxophoniste (alto, soprano et ténor), claviériste, riddim maker, DJ, producteur et compositeur. Plus de 20 ans dans le reggae mais pas seulement. Il est aussi la moitié du fameux duo de producteurs Bost & Bim. Ils sont surtout connus pour leurs productions de riddims pour des artistes comme Sizzla, Capleton Alborosie, Mykal Rose, Gappy Ranks, Admiral T et la scène française bien évidemment, dont le sommet sera en 2016 avec ce Grammy Award reçu par Morgan Heritage pour son album « Strictly Roots » sur lequel ils ont l’honneur de composer deux morceaux, « Rise & Fall » et « You Wanna Be Loved ».
À cela s’ajoutent les fameuses compilations de mash up / bootlegs, les Yankees a Yard. Ils mixent des acapellas de soul 60’s, R&B, rap & pop sur leurs propres riddims . Cette formule donnera un hit international en 2008 avec le morceau « Jamaïcan Boy », reprise d’ « American Boy ».
Matthieu Bost est aussi musicien de scène et il a eu le plaisir de partager la scène avec des artistes comme Taïro, Admiral T, Havana Meets Kingston, Flavia Coelho, Queen Omega, Winston MC Anuff m, Johnny Osbourne, Lee Perry, Omar Perry, Pierpolkak et tant d’autres.
