Consider It Blacklit hosts Kim Singleton discusses the documentary "Balloon Man" with its producer/director Chantal Potter.  This film tells the story of the first African American hot air balloon master, Bill Costen.

While propane continues to lift millions of people out of #energy poverty, it also lifted me 3000 feet above the earth this week. And although the propane-powered luxury of flying through the clouds in a wicker basket is obviously not as important as the freedom and health benefits afforded to families who no longer have to gather and burn biomass for heating and cooking purposes, my first hot air balloon ride on Tuesday did provide a great opportunity to ponder the ongoing damage leaders—in both the public and private sector—are causing by spewing hot air instead to taking logical, coherent, and sustainable actions.
