Interspersed are classic best-of bits from The Puzzling Evidence Show and ESO Swamp Radio (all from 2001-2002) and some more very rare Firesign Theatre from their early radio days. We also hear Paul Mavrides and Penn Jillette talking about the Church, from the new documentary. (CLEAN FOR RADIO) This one gets REALLY WEIRD. It's a new arrangement of fairly old stuff, all from late year 2000 and early 2001, all from Chas Smith's ESO Swamp Radio at WCSB Cleveland. Every month back then Stang used to compile the clips from that show that he had used on Hour of Slack, just in case he might need ways to reduce show production time in his old age. This is the first of those compilations,. Stang did go to the trouble of taking the random parts and organizing them so that they sound less random and more like we MEANT it to be that way. “We” being the late Professor Chas Smith, who was the host, producer, mixboard operator, and guiding star; Lonesome Cowboy Dave, who had been doing radio and music with Chas for many years, and Stang, the new guy to their show. Rev. Bleepo Abarnathy is also heard, calling in.

(CLEAN FOR RADIO) This episode, #128, was produced on May 1, 1988 for a potentially new audience, as KNON-Dallas had just swapped frequencies with a Christian station. Stang enthusiastically took advantage of having so many confused unwitting new Christian listeners! This is therefore another "explanatory" but also confrontational show, with much spontaneous ranting, plus clips of Stang guesting on Kevin McCarthy's Pink talk show on KLIF-AM in Dallas. That is mixed and matched with various Media Barrages and hilarious then-new music by The Swinging Erudites and Dr. Onan's Wotan Band. Also: reading from "High Weirdness by Mail" which was about to be published. (Coincidentally, the old Dallas version of the show was broadcast on 89.3 at 9 pm Sunday nights -- exactly like the later Cleveland version! Same time and frequency!) (CLEAN FOR RADIO)
