Bob Zomber
This week we are digging through the ditches of House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects, burning through the witches of The Lords of Salem, and slamming in the back of our Dragula as we discuss musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie. We anchor our thoughts through his use of music and aesthetic choices in his movies, and our (Nicki's) fandom of Dr. Satan.

Allegoria Review and the Best Low Budget Horror Films of All Time - Episode 103
Michael David Cummings — better known as Spider-One, the lead singer of the hard rock band Powerman 5000 and younger brother to Rob Zombie — decided to follow his sibling into filmmaking with his own movie after he had previously directed several of his group’s music videos.
The inspiration for his first film was based on his own writer’s block as a musician and how he struggled to live a creative life while also bowing to the demands of his own emotions not to mention the financial constraints that come along with that kind of career.
What resulted was an anthology centered around a group of artists tortured by their own obsessions and insecurities that ultimately ends up summoning all sorts of monsters and demons to haunt them…
In the latest episode of Rewind of the Living Dead, we’re going to review the new Shudder original from Spider-One titled “Allegoria” and discuss the best low budget horror films of all time…

The Devil's Rejects (2005)
Hell doesn't want them.
Hell doesn't need them.
And Hell doesn't love them...
Welcome back to the second part of our devil-slaying, vengeance-filled double-feature face-off as we continue our Spooky Season month of October, walking the line on our road trip through hell with the psychopathic and murderous Firefly Family in The Devil's Rejects, Rob Zombie's follow-up to his mean-spirited art house horror flick, House Of 1000 Corpses! Only this time, they're the ones on the run from an equally sadistic and dogged sheriff whose out for Firefly blood and won't stop till he's had enough!
We definitely set our standards pretty low so we wouldn't be disappointed as The Unholy Two and I discuss 2005's The Devil's Rejects , where dyin's not an option, as we decide which side of the law and morality we fall on, what we would do if we were outlaws on the run from the law, and of course, which of the two films is the better guilty pleasure!
Gentlemen, let's do what God made us to do!
House Of 1000 Corpses (2003)
Welcome back to another devil-slaying, serial killing urban legend, snark-filled episode of THE FILM SNARKS!!! Thank you for joining us as we continue our Spooky Season month of October, for the first time ever, with a double feature face-off as we take on the sadistic and depraved Firefly Family with the hyper violent and fiendishly vulgar Rob Zombie-directed modern horror classics, House Of 1000 Corpses (2003) and The Devil's Rejects (2005)!!
We had a lot of fun recording these two shows because also for the time, we have a guest joining us, our very own, Cousin Nico, a local legend in his own right! This was originally supposed to be one longer episode comprising both films, but due to time constraints and making it easier to take in for our fellow snarks.
So, join us as Andrew and Nico and I take a road trip through hell as we discuss our creepy real-life road trip stories, notorious real-life serial killers, and what we would do if we found ourselves trapped inside the HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES!!!
Happy road trippin' everybody, and remember... GO SNARK YOURSELVES!!!
6: House of 1000 Corpses
For this episode we talk about Rob Zombie's first movie House of 1000 Corpses. A psychotic family story about the Firefly family and a group of teens who end up at the worst place possible.

Episode 39: Rob Zombie's Firefly Trilogy
This episode covers one of the strangest and most violent film trilogies ever - Rob Zombie's Firefly Trilogy! House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects and the most recent 3 From Hell - Camp Nightmare covers each film and dives deep into the relationships between all the members of the Firefly family.
The films of Rob Zombie
Rob Zombie.
One of the most polarizing filmmakers working in horror.
From his first feature 'House of 1000 Corpses' to his re-imagining of 'Halloween' to his most recent film '31', the man's work certainly has it's fans but, let's face it, his detractors are legion.
Why is that? How could the work of such an unabashed horror kid (who happens to be a rock star) be so derided by the community he so belongs to?
We'll talk about each of Zombie's features (hey, it's only six!) and we've got audio clips of them too!!
And of course wild tangents other stuff.

House Of 1000 Corpses (2003)
We discuss Rob Zombie's debut feature film. Discussion topics include: Is Rob Zombie only for 13 year old boys? Do we actually ever care about teenagers in horror movie? How long is a piece of string? Tune in to see if we answer any of these questions! Find out if we give this a Nah, Yay or SLAY!
