How to: Pitch your book idea to a publisher house

How to: Pitch your book idea to a publisher house
HOW TO PITCH YOUR BOOK IDEA TO A PUBLISHER HOUSE. ⁣
    ⁣
Lately I’ve received a few messages on ‘how to write a book’ or on the want/dream of writing a book. ⁣
    ⁣
I guess that those who dream of writing a book also dreams of having it published. So that’s what we’ll focus on today. ⁣
    ⁣
Thought I wanted to share a different yet powerful and memorable approach on how to pitch your book idea to a publisher house - and make them want you as their household author! ⁣
    ⁣
So here it comes: create a video based show on your book idea. Here’s how I did it with my latest book: ⁣
    ⁣
    1. Download/buy Final Cut Pro ⁣
    ⁣
    2. Write a synopsis beforehand on your book idea ⁣
    ⁣
    3. Find some inspiration pictures that reflects how you want it to look/vibe/maybe pictures of the kind of readers/audience you want for your book ⁣
    ⁣
    4. Choose a soundtrack that vibes with the identity/theme of your book ⁣
    ⁣
    5. Record yourself telling about the book/presenting it ⁣
    ⁣
    6. Upload everything to Final Cut Pro ⁣
    ⁣
    7. Cut/edit it all together ⁣
    ⁣
    8. Make sure for it to be maximum 10 minutes ⁣
    ⁣
    9. Make the effort and spend the time on doing it, I know this is rewarded ⁣
    ⁣
    10. You’ll also show other personal assets by doing this fx: creativity, being great at research and so on. + please add how you’ll do the PR for the book/the marketing/statistics on the theme/readers/audience and so on. Today publisher houses loves numbers (even more than the book idea itself, sometimes) and some of the publisher houses is even former advertising agencies. ⁣
    ⁣
That’s just the time we live in today. So if you’re serious about getting your book idea published, then you better keep up on the trends/tendencies. xx J⁣
