    Man Smart (Woman Smarter)

    Man Smart (Woman Smarter)

This song, composed and recorded by Normal Span (King Radio) 1936, is aptly the title of our Women's Day Special episode. Many a crooner has rendered this song in their voice -  from Joan Baez to Harry Belafonte to the Carpenters, Robert Palmer and even the Grateful Dead.

In this podcast, the women outnumbered the men. Did we need to prove a point? Not at all. We just did it because we could. And you should too - at every possible opportunity. So why do we say that?

If all countries matched our gender parity measure, we could add $12 trillion a year to the global GDP. What’s more, India could add $700 billion of additional GDP in 2025, upping the country’s annual GDP growth by 1.4 percentage points. So said a McKinsey Report in 2015.

If that’s got you hooked, then tune in to our next episode, where we banter with Aditi Rele and Aparna Saxena, two influential Women In Tech.

How Young is Old in Tech?

How Young is Old in Tech?

Do you understand what "no cap', "sus", "bop", or "slaps" mean? If you are making a mad scramble for Google right now, the chances are that you are not in the same lingo generation as the kids of today. Rest easy. That goes for most people over 25 (you read that right).

So we thought it would be fun to get some of the kids that understand the terminology on our podcast and talk about what tech means to them. And what a cool thing to do that was. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it.

ESG - Every Small Gesture - Counts

ESG - Every Small Gesture - Counts

Greenwashing (do look that up) might sound like a bad thing - but to us, it is a big thumbs up for ESG. And so does lack of transparency and sloppy metrics. What it actually means is

    • Investors wouldn’t care about metrics or transparency unless they were using it to invest - a good thing.
    • Someone is asking for ESG, so others are greenwashing - again, a good thing.

Clearly, some groups of individual and institutional investors (not everyone, but enough) — not only care about environmental impact and risk but are willing to put real money on it. And that is a WIN

Like we said in the title - Every Small Gesture Counts.
