Bassam Dawood, the co-host of Sonnenallee Podcast, is an actor, theater, and radio director living in Berlin. He participated in numerous theater and television productions in Syria and his Ghorba (migration/estrangement). Bassam has worked on several projects and workshops including the co-founding of ‘Radio Souriali’ and the hosting of the ‘Hakawti Souriali' radio show since 2012.
In this episode, Bassam shares his early experiences in Berlin and evokes daily stories as well as future aspirations of living and loving in Berlin. He moreover shares insights on his relationship with Sonnenallee and with the Arab communities in the city.
