    Leviticus Chapter 7 Part 2
Well, we had been studying for several weeks concerning the offerings, that first were in the Mishcon, or the Oh, hell, Mo, Ed, the tabernacle. And then of course, the same type of sacrifices were offered up in the temple. And obviously, today, we have no Altar. And that is a highly significant truth, it has most important implications for it. Walk in Love [Reconstructing Faith 10]

Walk in Love [Reconstructing Faith 10]

When we are at our worst, it is often because something has deeply hurt us. Hurt people hurt people. But what if the opposite is also true? What if loved people love people? This is the point the apostle Paul is trying to make in Ephesians 5. Paul knows we will never love each other, our neighbors as ourselves, until we know how loved we are. He calls the church, those who follow Jesus, beloved children of God. For those of you who have children in your lives, you know the look on a child’s face when they know they are loved. There is a delight, an ease when a person feels like someone takes a genuine interest in them. A safety that you are in the love and care of someone else. Loved people love people.

    What is Specialty Coffee?

    What is Specialty Coffee?

In this episode, Kenneth sits down with John Lawrence the Co-founder and owner of Mudhouse Coffee Roasters in Charlottesville, Virginia. John has been creating specialty coffee for 20+ years. In 2014, he and his co-founder became licensed Q graders. They were also Roast Magazine´s Coffee Roaster of the Year, in 2017.

They talk about the specialty coffee movement and how this approach ensures that you get the best from every bean. John also speaks about the new Panamanian specialty coffee farm he is developing with a partner. He provides a fascinating insight into what it takes to source and prepare the land, plant & take care of the coffee bushes and the ecosystem they are growing in. They round off the episode by discussing the new super specialty coffees that are made with experimental varieties and processing techniques.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

    • Specialty coffee is sustainably produced and has a superior cup quality and taste.
    • The term 'specialty coffee' has been around since 1974.
    • There is a lot of pride in the way specialty coffee is produced and made. Everyone brings their best, at every stage of the process.
    • It only takes one underripe cherry, impurity, or foreign object to ruin your cup of coffee.
    • Sustainable coffee farmers take care of the soil and the ecology of the area they are farming.
    • Specialty farmers protect and nourish their bushes without using chemical herbicides or pesticides.
    • There is more to coffee. More to discover and learn about. Take Geisha coffee for example.
    • Super specialty coffees are the next iteration.
    • In time, people will start talking about the different types of coffee like they do with wine now.

    BEST MOMENTS

‘Specialty coffee is a sustainably produced product, and we all have a responsibility to that.’

‘A defect in just one bean can destroy a cup or decanter pot.’

‘For specialty coffee, there is more to come – more to discover, learn about and create out of.’

    Phil L - From Self-hatred to God's Love - Meeting 20

Phil is a sexaholic who has been blessed with 5 years of sobriety.  5.5 years ago he was introduced to true recovery and had his big spiritual awakening. He currently runs ARPsupport.org and has been blessed to participate in the great camaraderie that exists with his fellow addicts of SAL and SA.  Throughout his journey for long term recovery God has orchestrated every piece. God is his light and has saved him from the awful hell he was in.

Welcome to the Reco12 Speaker Meeting.  We are an organization whose addictions include alcohol, drugs, lust and sex, food and gambling, just to name a few.  We come together from all places, faiths and backgrounds to learn the similarities of addiction and to gain tools and hope from others who are walking a similar path.  We invite recovering addicts with at least 1 year sobriety and who are actively working their recovery in their respective fellowships to share their experience, strength and hope on a live Zoom meeting, each Friday at 12:00 pm central time, for about 25 minutes.  Then, we, the live audience, get the opportunity to ask questions of the speaker for another 20-25 minutes.   If you are hearing this podcast recorded and would like to participate as a live audience member, or if you would like to be a guest speaker in a future meeting, please go to www.reco12.com to learn more and submit your email address there to receive weekly invitations or to submit to become a guest speaker.

Reco12 is an ad-free service and we appreciate your help in keeping it that way.  We gratefully accept contributions to help cover the costs of the Zoom platform, podcast platform, web hosting, and administrative costs.  To contribute, you can go to https://www.reco12.com/support  or you can click the link to PayPal (https://www.paypal.me/reco12)  in the chat of the live meeting.  When you contribute, please specify the meeting number.  This is meeting number 20.

How Middle School Boys Manage To Contaminate Every Space They Inhabit

How Middle School Boys Manage To Contaminate Every Space They Inhabit

"Of the small animals that scurry along the ground, these are unclean for you: the mole rat, the rat, large lizards of all kinds" - Leviticus 11:29 "Do not mate two different kinds of animals. Do not plant your field with two different kinds of seed. Do not wear clothing woven from two different kinds of thread." - Leviticus 19:19. These two verses reveal the obscurity and puzzling nature of Leviticus. This Lent, we'll be walking through the Bible's most difficult book.

This week we look at the decontamination offering of Leviticus 4 and 5.
