Fertility chats Navigating through Lost Hope and the Silly Season with Sarah Willoughby

Fertility chats Navigating through Lost Hope and the Silly Season with Sarah Willoughby

Fertility Chats Navigating Through Lost Hope and the Silly Season with Sarah Willoughby & Liz Walton

In this episode Sarah Willoughby and I discuss how to navigate through lost hope at the end of the year and when we're going through Christmas and the silly season. We wanted to create an episode where we share both of our journeys and reflections. What we've learned and finish off with some wonderful take home tools, for you the listener that may be going through a very difficult time now. Prayer is supports you and hopefully brings peace to your heart.

    Sarah's thoughts.

    1.       Acknowledge all the emotions, they can be huge and overwhelming, this supports the body and nervous system for balance.

    2.       There can be emotions of guilt and shame, again acknowledge them. It is OK to acknowledge these emotions.

    3.       There is such a duality of feelings to navigate through.

    4.       Ask yourself what do I need? To protect my heart, and to have boundaries?

    5.       This can be a good time to be aware of boundaries, for yourself, for your heart, and for your being.

    6.       Sarah reflected on some of her personal journey as well.

    Liz's thoughts.

    1.       Reflecting on Liz’s journey at end of every  year and how I had to change my thoughts or I may lose my sanity.

    2.       The gift of the healing journey.

    3.       We talked about guilt and shame.

Sarah shared a personal story for her.

The fertility journey is not always about getting the baby and getting pregnant. The inner journey and finding happiness within can be one of the main paths to tread.

We talked about what being enough is.

    That you are enough!

    Some questions to ask yourself.

    ·         Why do you really want a baby?

    ·         What will a baby give you?

    ·         What does being a mother give you?

Tools and strategies to finish off the year with.

    1.       Boundaries - setting boundaries can be a lifesaver.

    a.       get clear on what is acceptable for you.

    b.       what is not acceptable for you?

    c.       it is OK to say no!

    2.       Have an exit strategy – If you must go to a party or an event.

    a.       create an exit plan.

    b.       have a think of things that you can do or say, that support you.

    c.       know when it is a good time to leave.

    d.       you can prepare responses in advance just in case people ask.

    3.       Look at connecting with others that are on a similar journey, as these are your tribe.

    4.       Lots of guilt may come up, it is important to protect your heart and I know it's difficult as you don't want to upset others, this can be a challenge. So, it's good to have people that are in your tribe.

    5.       This can be an opportunity to educate others, let them understand the real struggles and share what you need so they know how to support you.

    6.       Create a personal mantra, some words that can support you at challenging times. This can also help to keep you centred.

    7.       Creating your own new tradition, making positive change. This can be fun!

    8.       Meditation is always a helpful tool.

    9.       Journaling your journey.

    10.   Honour your emotions, they are here f

Family Planning, Infertility and Adoption (Respecting Boundaries)

Family Planning, Infertility and Adoption (Respecting Boundaries)

We have all overstepped our boundaries.  When it comes to family planning, infertility and adoption,  there is no place for gossip.   It is important to recognize that no one is obligated to share information they feel is private.

Although there might not be and intent of malice or unkindness, making light or jokes can be insensitive.  Many people feeling anxiety and stress trying to start their family.    Placing pressure or prying for information is unfair especially for the sake of curiosity.

With my own struggles setting boundaries, I hope that I am to support others who feel the same challenges.

    Toxicity and the Female Body

    Toxicity and the Female Body
This week, join our host, Stan Salot and his retuning guest, Ms. Wanda J. Cooper, who will discuss what can happen when toxic materials found in everyday consumer products invade our bodies, including ways to cope when medical professionals fail to properly diagnose due to overlapping symptoms. Have you ever climbed the high-tech corporate ladder successfully and suddenly found yourself on the outside, looking in? Waking up too tired and lacking the drive to keep going? Feeling like no one understood what was going on while getting no help from medical professionals? Perhaps you had a medical condition that was misdiagnosed?
