So, for me when you're thinking about performance and success, ultimately, that's what we're here for, whatever we're wanting to achieve in the world and our families, whatever it might be, we ultimately want to be successful in doing it. In doing that, we've got to have a really clear understanding of what good looks like, we need to have a really good clear understanding of our abilities to get to that result. And we've got to want to.

There's three ingredients in there, there's the what, to what good looks like, the how, our skills, and the why or as I call it, why bother? And those those three things are all impacted by confidence. Because if we're not feeling confident, our aspirations are what is smaller. If we're feeling overconfident, perhaps those aspirations are way beyond anything we could possibly do. If our confidence is low, maybe we underestimate our ability. If we're overconfident, maybe we're not in touch with our ability. And confidence is part of motivations.”
