    Book: Assisted Dying | https://amzn.to/3GtSibi

On today’s podcast we have the lovely Dr Stefanie Green. Dr Green is a pioneer in medically assisted dying who helps patients who are suffering to explore and then fulfil their end of life choices. She is the author of the new book, ‘Assisted: A doctor’s story of assisting death and embracing life.

What I personally love about this conversation is Dr Green’s openness and vulnerability in the context of being a physician who administers assisted dying. It indeed is a tender space, in which she offers insight into the ‘extraordinary’ moments that are shared with both patients and families before the administration. We speak about very intimate moments for Dr Green that inspire her to reflect on what is important in life, particularly around the concepts of presence and meaning, and also in the realm of being able to say sorry and forgive. And we also discuss the controversy around physicians such as Dr Green who truly believe that this is a role of service; of giving, and not that of taking. Please enjoy this conversation with Dr Stefanie Green.
