    Italian Life with Cinzia Ferri

    Italian Life with Cinzia Ferri

“We do not remember days, we remember moments” - Diary Entry, 28th July…
    Cesare Pavese   -
This Business of Living, A Diary - 1935-1950

    Welcome to Episode 31:

This is a lovely chat with Cinzia about life and her love of books and life in Italia.  Her love of language is at the forefront of her world as she shares the joys of reading in Italian and English and the path she followed to become a Teacher and Tutor for the Inglese who would like to know Italiano….

And if you are wondering she is not yet my teacher, but certainly it would be an excellent idea.  Cinzia and I connected up on Instagram and I kept thinking it would be lovely to discover more about her life in Liguria.  For a little while I have been receiving her regular emails on Italy and her life and I really enjoy reading them, they are not only informative but considered, honest and meditative letters to her readers.

On Instantly Italy Cinzia shares stories about important Italians you need to know, Italian Life and Culture, the places she has connected with and genuine stories about expats living in Italy.  She is a great story teller and has a deep and true love of books and literature.  I was smiling a lot and laughing too because I really resonated with what she said about books... A book is more than a book if you ask me, they are a life line.

I hope you enjoy the share and thank you so much Cinzia for preparing for this episode and bringing us all a happy dose of joy and authenticity.

Passion for Italy Podcast Episode 14: Reaching for the Stars with Dante - How Learning the Italian Language Changes Everything

Passion for Italy Podcast Episode 14: Reaching for the Stars with Dante - How Learning the Italian Language Changes Everything
Today we’re talking about the Italian language. Its beauty, its history, and how we can use this time when many of us cannot travel to Italy, to be able to assimilate once we land in Il Bel Paese. This is a hard time we’re facing, for many reasons. Illness, job loss, fear of both, exciting plans cancelled, trips to Italy cancelled, couldn’t we all use something good to focus on? A way to not only better ourselves but make those trips we hope to take in the not so distant future even more special? One thing we can do, wherever we are, is learn the Italian language. Is this a necessity when visiting Italy, not really. Most Italians, especially in the tourism sector speak English very well if not fluently. It will, however, elevate your experience beyond your imagination.
