    This week on Delaware State of the Arts Podcast, Kaitlin Ammon interviews Raye Jones Avery, a cultural activist in Wilmington, and James Ray Rhodes, the executive director of Christina Cultural Arts Center (CCAC), also in Wilmington, about the CCAC’s upcoming event, “Sounds of Resilience.” The performance features Raye Jones Avery accompanied by a nine-piece orchestra led by former CCAC Music Director Gerald Chavis. All proceeds will benefit the Raye Jones Avery Endowed Scholarship Fund at CCAC. After discussing the important and valuable work both are doing to increase arts equity and accessibility, Rhodes and Avery share how “Sounds of Resilience” came about.     “Sounds of Resilience” takes place Sunday, November 7, starting at 3 p.m., at the House of Laffs in Wilmington. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door, and all proceeds go to the Raye Jones Avery Endowed Scholarship Fund at CCAC.
