Ohhhhhhhh it's a new podcast on IGYE!
I LOVE horror films and after enough in-depth with my friend, Nyxx, I proposed the idea of a podcast where we gush about amazing scary movies.
Thus, Crafting Chills was born!
Each month we'll have a new theme for our film selection. This month, capping off an eventful and especially bountiful year for horror, we're doing a mini 'best of'. From reimagined cult-classics to directorial debuts.

HELLRAISER 2022 Review
I forgot to mention that Motorhead has a pretty good song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1M4FG1UXH5w)called "Hellraiser." RIP Lemmy.
This is my first solo episode in a while and also my first review in a while. I watched the new Hellraiser, which is now streaming on Hulu, and decided I was an expert on all things Hellraiser because I read the novella the first movie was based on, Clive Barker's Hellbound Heart. It's a really good little page-turner that you can blow through in an afternoon. Check it out!
The new Hellraiser is the 11th Hellraiser movie. There are only nine Nighmare on Elm Street movies, including the Jason Vs Freddy crossover and the remake and I'd imagine that it's a much better known film series. At 11 films, it nearly ties the Friday the 13th series, which has 12 movies when you include Freddy Vs Jason and the 2000s remake. That's pretty wild considering it's a horror franchise that likely has much more of a niche appeal than its horror franchise competition. And how they should have never made a sequel to the first one.

Hellraiser (2022) Review — Episode 110
Talks about a ‘Hellraiser’ reboot or remake had been in the works for years with original creator Clive Barker occasionally offering updates about the film.
Various writers and directors were pitched for the project for a franchise that had already seen a multitude of lackluster sequels. By 2013, Barker said he was set to direct and write the newest iteration of the series with Doug Bradley returning as Pinhead.
The project continued to languish away in development hell until 2019 when Spyglass Media Group got involved with David Bruckner hired to oversee the film after he found success with an underrated horror film called ‘The Night House.’ Bruckner ended up reteaming with the same writers behind that film with Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski penning the script for the latest version of ‘Hellraiser’ along with a new Pinhead that would be played by a woman named Jamie Clayton.
Fascinated by the chance to explore themes like possession and temptation, Bruckner unleashed an updated version of the franchise where a girl battling addiction comes into contact with the Lament Configuration and all hell breaks loose…
