Before we arrive at Azati Prime we have one little side-trip into a world where Jeffrey Combs is all you need. That's right, we reviewed the classic horror (?) comedy(!) film "Re-Animator" for our Patrons earlier this year, now available to all! Observe as roles are reversed and Peter gushes endless detail while Joseph is bewildered by everything happening around him. 

We settle in to some of that sweet continuity as we review "Shadows of P'Jem"! Marvel at an episode that is supposed to be all about T'Pol making a choice but ends up with her having zero agency and dumb boob jokes until Shran shows up and saves us all.

Quick visit to the gift shop at the Vulcan monastery leads to a galaxy of head wounds as we review “The Andorian Incident”! When the NX-01 Trio tries to get cultural enlightenment they run into the unmitigated excellence of Jeffrey Combs and hatch a plan to avoid having Reed shoot up the place …which involves Reed shooting up the place.

Kicking off 2022 with an absolutely corker- I mean, the film [Sharkman / Hammerhead: Shark Frenzy (2005)] is rubbish but a great time was had on the pod by me and my guests Josh and Christian from the Welcome to Patchwork podcast! Jeff is in classic Mad Scientist mode and we discuss sock etiquette, good shark names and what to do when something explodes.

It's a Creature Feature! Me and Nick Mason (The Weekly Planet) check out "A Quartet of Creatures", S1/E3 of Ultraman- a show that is NOT Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. There's a lot of bad costumes and fight scenes but more importantly there's a lot of Jeff! We also look at the monster mid-life crisis, gross trivia games and why on Earth this show exists in the first place.

It's Springtime for Hitler, as me and Ben Volchok dig into Snide and Prejudice (1997), a film about a man who think he is the Fuhrer. It's not as grim a time as you think but it's no knee-slapper, either. It's a weird one! Plus: some IMPECCABLE Matthew McConaughey impressions (sorry) and lots of singing (not sorry).

Leap through your nearest plate-glass window and listen to me and Cara (Cruisin' for a Reviewsin' podcast) chat about fun action-comedy Felony (1994)! Jeff teams up with some old mates, does a lot of cool stunts and even has a romance! We talk about bugs, Nic Cage and the greatest podcast crossover of all.

Ben Nichols joins me for the gooey, sexy, monstery but very pretty From Beyond (1986)! One of Jeff's classic roles, it seems him team up with heaps of familiar friends from Re-Animator to make the moist and mind-bending masterpiece. Also: Beetlejuice goes Hawaiian, sensual pleasures and a million-dollar KFC idea.

Emily Intravia (The Feminine Critique podcast) joins me for the spooky, sleepy, slightly icky Parasomnia (2008). The film sees Jeff team up with old mate, writer/director William Malone and chewing a whole lotta gum. Plus: toilet robots, bro horror and Comb Juice comes full circle. Also, enjoy a lot of nice but unplanned bird sounds.

Writer/Trekker Andy Webb joins me to ~liquidate~ "The Magnificent Ferengi", Season 6/Episode 10 of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and one of Jeffrey Combs' most beloved Trek characters- Brunt! We also take a look at Combs' journey with the Star Trek
franchise and why Avery Brooks just needs a sit down once in a while.

Tom McLean (Not Good Enough podcast) joins me for the very gooey and very 90s The Guyver (1991)! We explore rad effects guy Screaming Mad George in his directing debut, 90s rap and how best to show up to Heaven. Plus the return of "The Game I Don't Have A Name For Yet!"

Evie (Not Good Enough podcast) joins me for "The Replacement", an episode of action-comedy series She Spies (2003) where we enjoy 2000s fashion, quirky Lady Spies and a very camp Jeff. Also, the debut of a new (hopefully regular) game!

Not to be hyperbolic, but this podcast is the healing light of the world. Join me and Alasdair Tremblay-Birchall (Two in the Think Tank) as we traverse the juicy universe of season 2/episode 4 of Stan Against Evil, with Jeff as a magical IMPISH MAN. He's impish! #MonsterCast continues with our very first horror film spotlight of the month. This year we're diving full-on into the ghost world as we break down Peter Jackson's fantastic black comedy The Frighteners. Frank Bannister is a psychic con-man who uses the recently deceased to help him pull jobs. But when a dark force starts killing perfectly healthy people in his small town, Frank must use his gift to stop the killing before it's too late.
