    SHOW NOTES

Ep 045 - Spilling Secrets about the KBB Method and How it Changed My Business

Are you wondering how you can scale your business? Do you want to utilize your expertise to make more money? Today, I’m sharing with you on the podcast AND on our newly launched YouTube vlog exactly what I’ve been up to lately and how I’m going to help empower you to make more money doing what you do best. Even better? I’ve enlisted the help of Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi who have a combined 60+ years of experience, knowledge and accomplishments to help you effectively succeed in your business.

    Let’s start growing your business!

    What we’re talking about

    • My Journey To Becoming A Speaker
    • Scaling Your Business Through Online Education
    • How To Make Profits From Your Own Expertise

My Journey To Becoming A Speaker

Traditional education failed me! My 4-year degree, cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars and left me WITHOUT any specialized knowledge! Nor did I take the traditional career path, and yet, once I left corporate America, I was able to create a thriving business and make more money. Last fall, I started the application process to become a speaker with Tony and Dean in their KBB program and I’m excited to announce that I made it all the way through! I’m even more excited to help kick off this exclusive opportunity for you to learn everything I have from these two accomplished speakers and educators.

Scaling Your Business Through Online Education

There are more online courses out in the world than you can count and if you’re like me, you’ve purchased a number of them. If you’re also like me, you’ve failed to complete them. KBB is one course that I have not only taken completely but that I believe in passionately. You can shorten the learning curve through self-education and when you find a course that is created and led by experienced individuals, then the value is worth more than gold.

How To Make Profits From Your Own Expertise

The beauty of KBB is that you are going to learn how to make profits from your own expertise. My favorite example is of a woman who teaches you how to paint and has a live alligator…yes, friends let this be a lesson that no niche is too specific! Learn how to teach others what you already know and turn that into a profitable business!

Isn’t it time you learn from the best and make use out of it? Join me, Tony Robbins, Dean Graziosi, Russell Brunson and Jenna Kutcher for a FREE LIVE WEBCAST like no other, on 2.27.20 at 5 pm PST. Click the special link to REGISTER NOW and save your seat!! Can’t wait to see you there!!

Today, as mentioned in the intro, I have a guest, Belinda from Your Social Bee, talking about Pinterest for business.

As I mention in the interview, Pinterest to me has been, sit on the coach, Friday night, wine and cheese in hand and scroll to my little hearts content on Pinterest.  Going down numerous rabbit holes and surfacing when I think “what was I looking for again”.

But this year, Pinterest is a goal of mine.  I do a podcast every week and I regularly blog, so therefore, I have oodles of content (tech word that – oodles!).

Pinterest seems like a fairly clear option for me to repurpose my content in a way I am currently not repurposing and also to break into an international market – another goal for 2020.

I put in a group on Facebook that I was looking for a Pinterest legend to interview and Belinda was recommended to me.

I reached out and hey presto – here we are!

Belinda’s business is Your Social Bee - https://yoursocialbee.com.au/ - link is in the show notes.

Belinda is a Pinterest strategist and manager and her zone of genius is Pinterest for Business.

If you’ve never thought about Pinterest as a marketing strategy, or even if you have, listen in.  I think you’ll be surprised about the statistics of Pinterest, who’s the target and the type of businesses using it for marketing purposes.

So, without holding Belinda up anymore, welcome Belinda:

    INTERVIEW WITH BELINDA

    https://yoursocialbee.com.au/

Convinced that Pinterest needs to be on your radar yet?  I really hope you enjoyed that episode as much as I did making it.

For those interested, I have started my Pinterest journey just this week and you can be sure that I will let you know of my progress or lack of as time goes on this year.

No doubt I will be doing another episode of what I’ve found or how’s it helped my business or vice versa, if it doesn’t work.

But, that’s all for episode 56.

I’ll be back next Thursday with another great episode to help you simplify your business in 2020.

If you’re enjoying this podcast, don’t forget to subscribe so you never miss an episode and share this with a friend.  If you’re still in gift giving mode, I’d love a rating and a review.  Those things are like gold for podcasters like me!  It would mean the world.

PS – you can leave more than one rating and review – just saying!

See you next week on the podcast for episode 57.  But in the meantime, I’d love to connect with you all on social – so let’s get social on social – I’m on all the platforms, so let’s do that!

…….. and remember small business peeps, as my opening song says, there’s no point in dreaming small!

    Ep 8: Hello 2020

    Ep 8: Hello 2020

This "Hello 2020" episode builds on a late-2019 blog post from host Sondra Doty. Click here to read. http://www.wordtoyourmothers.com/the-why/

We are now 15 days in to the new year! How are you doing? For Sondra, It's been a slower start than anticipated-and that's 100% OK! Go ahead and give yourself permission to feel the same. This time of year, there really is no escaping the "New Year, New You" motto-and with that, the pressure to perform and do more. … Sondra shares that although she feels physically weak going in to the new year, and encouraging post from Jenna Kutcher helped formulate a healthy perspective

"Instead of focusing on what you could lose, let's focus on gains," writes Kutcher. "More long walks, more time unplugged, more green veggies, more pauses, more water, more laughter, more inspiring influences and early bedtimes, more LOVE." Go follow @jennakutcher today!

In the spirit of achieving more of what you desire-without the added pressure-Sondra thought it would be fun in this episode to divulge more details about herself and the "why" behind what she does. The why is clearly defined for her and some of that stems from when she was a little girl and had dreams to become a country music singer. Sondra shares stories, about when she was in kindergarten and how she was a dreamer at a young age. She also shares about her experience meeting her singing idol, Wynonna Judd.

Have you ever met one of your idols?

Think about what your "why" is or might be for 2020: Is there a dream that you thought was dead or gone? Maybe it's time to revisit it an see what's possible. If it feels overwhelming, break it down to three-month increments and make action items based on where you want to be in April. Thinking about the whole year at once can feel overwhelming. But don't worry about justifying your why to others.

In fact, Sondra's personal whys today still connect to that little girl's heart who wanted to be a country music singer: Her dream of singing with Wynonna Judd still remains, y'all! And who knows, maybe one day that dream will come true on this Word To You Mothers trail?

Sondra invites you to walk together in this new decade!

The art of productivity | Entrepreneur Jenna Kutcher on how to achieve work-life integration

When we say we want to be more productive, what does that really mean? We all have the same 24 hours in a day, so how is it that some people are able to accomplish so much, and still have time to spend on doing the things that they love? Those who maximize their time have mastered the art of productivity, and work-life integration

One of those people is Jenna Kutcher. You may have heard her podcast, Goal Digger, where she helps her listeners redefine success, chase bolder dreams, and tackle their biggest goals.

Jenna is an entrepreneur, an expert marketer, speaker and social media influencer. She has a strong voice, speaking out about important topics like body positivity, female entrepreneurship, and some of the more difficult ones – like going through a miscarriage. She’s set massive goals for herself, achieved them, and has created an extraordinary life, one that’s on her terms, and her time.

In this episode, Jenna shares her approach to work-life integration and productivity – and how she took her wedding photography business, something that relied on her own personal involvement to be successful, and diversified it to the point where it runs even when she’s not there, and generates revenue 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
