Resident Evil: WTRC & The Northman

Resident Evil: WTRC & The Northman

In this week’s episode of the AIPT Movies podcast, Alex, Tim, and Matt discuss the reboot of the popular action-horror video game series, Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City! Does the movie suffer from its attempts to capture the essence of the original games? Do we end up feeling nostalgic for the Paul WS Anderson series? Also, Alex saw The Northman and gives 6 reasons to go see it for yourself, and Matt makes a little noise about A Quiet Place 2.

In addition to all those movie discussions, Tim has committed to disguising himself as someone else so that he can play his dream role as Harry in the Harry & the Hendersons sequel, but is he pushing himself too hard?! Listen now to find out!

You can find AIPT Movies on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. As always, if you enjoy the podcast, be sure to leave us a positive rating, subscribe to the show, and tell your friends!

The AIPT Movies podcast brings you the latest in movie news, reviews, and more! Hosted by supposed “industry vets,” Alex Harris, Tim Gardiner, and Matt Paul, the show gives you a peek behind the scenes from three filmmakers with oddly nonexistent filmographies. You can find Alex on Instagram and Twitter @alexharriscomix. Matt is a terrific artist that you can find on Instagram @no_wheres_ville. Tim can’t be found on social media because he doesn’t exist. If you have any questions or suggestions for the AIPT Movies crew, they can be reached at aiptmoviespod@gmail.com, or you can find them on Twitter @AIPTmoviesPod.

New Year, New Season, But Same Old Nick (The Resident Evil Rewatch)

New Year, New Season, But Same Old Nick (The Resident Evil Rewatch)

In this first episode of season 2 of Nick Nack Goes To The Movies, to ring in 2021, I once again wen't back to my roots, with zombie things! With the news of the 2021 Resident Evil movie concluding principal shooting, I though it was time to dive into my bin on DVD's and Blu-Rays to dig out the Paul W.S. Anderson 6 movie Resident Evil Series, to date the most successful video game film adaptation of all time.  Now, these are up and down in quality, but for the most part, they are a fun time to turn your brain off and get a little dare I say, Brain Dead!  Obviously I am kicking 2021 off with a dumb zombie joke, what better way to ring in the new year with Milla Jovovich, Iain Glen, Ali Larter, and most importantly, even if briefly, Wentworth Miller, that Prison Break episode will be upon on eventually.  But for now, let's get cheesy one liners, slo-mo backflips, shooting guns while jumping out of helicopters, and yes, roundhouse kicking zombies in the face.  And our first list of the new year, ranking these zombie flicks, as only yours truly can do.  So hit me up on social, let me know, at either @NickNackMovies and @NickNack_IC on both Instagram and Twitter.  What is your favorite Resi movie, game, or zombie movie overall?  The best takes will be shared on next week's episode!

Episode 1: Resident Evil - Down at the Fang Hole

On July 24, 1998, some bizarre murders occur just outside of Raccoon City and an elite special forces division, S.T.A.R.S., is called in to investigate. That's where our story begins as we venture into Capcom's scary mansion mystery title that kicked off an unforgettable franchise. Join Travis Terry and Caleb J. Ross as they navigate the story of Resident Evil.
