"You have ALS" - Dave was shocked and adjusted upon hearing this diagnosis, but the events earlier in the decade served as his true "reboot".  After 35+ years as an evangelical minister, he deconstructed and became an atheist.  This wasn't the easy path, yet he learned there were others like him through "The Clergy Project", an organization who help other religious leaders who no longer believe in the supernatural, many of whom are harboring that secret.

LGBTQ+ AND THE CLASSROOM:  Gerry Crane and his partner Randy exchanged vows during a private commitment ceremony. By the next week, word spread that he had married a man. The gifted and once-treasured high school music teacher was  suddenly disparaged and pressured to resign by powerful community members with tragic consequences. 

25 years later, Christine uses her skills as an attorney and writer to publish a moving book that recounts the story.  We discuss Gerry's leadership qualities and legacy.  What are the  implications for our school systems and how can we better empower LGBTQ+ students, parents, and educators?

Not your average Mom, when her son's first year began with about 200 days in the hospital, Christiana reminded herself "I can do this".  Leading one of the largest high schools in CA was also a test, especially this year.   Her grit comes from her upbringing and Christiana points to the impact of her Coach Patty Gasso, the famous current Softball Coach at the University of Oklahoma.
