You Have The Power of Jesus! Now Is The Time To Use It! - Audio

You Have The Power of Jesus! Now Is The Time To Use It! - Audio
Jesus lived a perfect life in a sinless world in order for all who believe in Him to be forgiven of their sin and have His power to navigate through this life until we reach our eternal one. Since His ascension into Heaven, we have His Word as recorded in the Bible and The Holy Spirit to intercede on our behalf to God. Today’s Christian and church does not suffer from a lack of power or information, but the will to do what Jesus commands.

    Risen - Audio

    Risen - Audio
2021 Easter Service Happy Easter, Christian Layman Church family, and friends. The story of Jesus is the greatest story, it is the ultimate story. Christ’s big story gives life and hope to our smaller ones. We will walk you through the death and the resurrection of Christ using our own words. There will be four different presenters and each person will tell you one part of the story of Jesus and then reflect on what that means to them. Four different presenters, one unified story.

    Mary Magdalene - Audio

    Mary Magdalene - Audio
What do we know about Mary Magdalene? Popular literature and the internet abounds with theories about her life and her role in Jesus' life, asserting that she was, amongst other things, a prostitute, Jesus' girlfriend, and the mother of his children. None of these are biblically based or have any reference points in the bible. In this sermon, Michael Moorhead dispels several myths surrounding Mary Magdalene and focuses on what we do know about her-- she was with Jesus from the time that he healed her of 7 demons to laying him to rest in the tomb after his crucifixion, she was courageous, loving and dedicated, and she was a true disciple of Christ. This sermon concludes the Neighborhood Church's summer "Little Known Heroes of Faith" sermon series and reflects on our three everyday heroes. By focusing on ordinary people just like ourselves, how can we challenge ourselves to rise to the title of hero?
