Art and Life on the Midi, Antibes, Picasso, de Stael, Matisse
"When a painter is obsessed by a view or an idea, no wind, no elements can stop him" - Gustave de Stael
Welcome to Episode #33
This little foray into the south of France was a delight to write up once the writing process began. I couldn’t hold back but take a deep dive into the French Riveria and its artistic legacy which indeed is quite vast. When I discovered a few years back that the Picasso Museum was on the train line somewhere between Nice and Marseille in France well it was a given. There is much to say that is undoubtable and there a number of directions one could go in. In truth Antibes, Juan Les Pins came on my radar over the past few years after reading about Pablo Picasso and Francoise Gilot.
Later I discovered the writings of Picasso’s biographer John Richardson and the film Surviving Picasso. This particular share is full of Art and Life, mine and theirs, and of course the joy of a family day free to travel in the delightful city of Antibes on the Cote D’Azur; something I would recommend to any one who loves a deep blue sky and a seascape that travel dreams are made of.

Season 4: The Horror, The Horror - Black Sunday (Episode 10)
In the tenth episode of Season 4 (The Horror, The Horror) Kyle is joined by musician and actor Boston Stergis and aspiring filmmaker Tristan Fortier to discuss the official directorial debut of giallo maestro Mario Bava, the Gothic horror of familial curse and the haunting scope of history in Black Sunday.
Summer of Hammer: One Million Years B.C. & The Lost Continent
The Summer of Hammer continues and it's time for adventure! Wait. Adventure? Hammer did so much more than just horror! First, travel back to the dawn of time, where the dangers of giant iguanas, turtles and bathing are ever present! Well, probably not enough bathing. It's One Million Years B.C. (1966)! And then from there, set a course for adventure, your mind on a new romance, as you drift into the Sargasso Sea, with killer seaweed, blood-crazed kelp monsters and some wacko cult! It's definitely time to discover the insanity that is The Lost Continent (1968)!
215. Black Sunday (1960)
This is why you shouldn't get on a witch's bad side. Black Sunday brims full of supernatural fiends and the Fried Squirms are here for it. But like the witch's curse does it stand the test of time?

Special Guest John Richardson of Ethelo Decisions
Special guest John Richardson Founder and CEO Ethelo Decisions, a social enterprise dedicated to new ways of doing group decision making, using online technology. Ethelo was born out of trying to find a way of impacting and improving democracy, and answering the question "What is democracy going to look like in 10, 15, or 20 years or even more importantly, what does it need to look like, if we're going to address the major challenges facing society today?"
With a unique technology that enables groups to make complicated decisions, Ethelo is a mix of commercial enterprise, selling that technology to government and large organizations, and a non-profit organization that provides it for free to citizens and organizations that want to engage citizens in doing democratic decision making.
Ethelo can help groups with strategy, high-value decisions like investments, or engaging the public or experts in developing the framework for legislation and regulations. They have several working demos to explore, including using Ethelo for deciding policy around marijuana legislation, international treaties, a neighborhood park, and participatory budget.
For developers interested in democracy as infrastructure, some exciting plans are on the roadmap. Open sourcing the core algorithm behind Ethelo and launching an API are scheduled for as early as sometime this year.
