Music Elixir's Rollercoaster Ride through Fantasy Football, Dreamscapes, and Music News

Brace yourselves for a wild ride through fantasy football leagues, music news tidbits, and so much more. (Will Sarah clinch another unexpected win or does a social media 'like' from an ex signal some brewing rivalry?)

The conversation then takes an intriguing turn as we explore Sarah's dream realm - a riverside walk, a red handbag, familiar faces, and concealed objects. Is this simply a bizarre dream or do these symbols have a deeper meaning? We pull you further into our narrative with Sarah's concert experience, Panic's surprise Harvard ad, and the mystery of diminutive chairs. Trust us, this segment is bound to keep your minds racing and your laughter flowing!

From the mystical to the musical, we delve into a spicy discussion about Hwasa's comeback, TaeTae's record-breaking album, and the constant influx of content. We talk about a Harry Styles soundalike, the one-of-a-kind vibes of various artists, and the recent fascination for old-time jazz. Controversies are also on the table with our take on idols smoking habits and the rising power of streaming services. To top it all off, we gear up for the future! Music Elixir Presents: A Candid Chat with the Japanese Band, Second Lady

Ever wondered how possible Google search results could play a role in a band's name or how a fear of cicadas can impact a live performance? We sat down with the Japanese band, Second Lady, for a candid chat. We learned about the band's inception from an online forum to their unique approach to band naming.

As we get to know the members, we discuss musical tastes and backgrounds and are surprised by some of the music inspirations. We learn how they infused punk and ska influences into their catchy song DTB. And find out covers aren't just tribute for them, but a tool to push their musical boundaries and spark creativity.

As the conversation progresses, we get a peek into their upcoming concerts and plans to play in the US. We share laughs, astrology discussions, and learn about their love for their furry friends. Overflowing with gratitude and passion for music, Second Lady leaves us inspired. Their humble personalities and infectious energy are as much a part of their identity as their music. So, strap in and enjoy this exciting journey with Second Lady, a band that's creating a new wave in the music industry!

    Trying something new- a rambling

    Trying something new- a rambling

We had this on the burner and just got around to spicing it up!
We talked about a dream Panic had, and Sarah was stuck on MONSTA X and the upcoming show (which actually got canceled). We moved on to the new artists showcased on OK Asia, as well as the old standby, AND there was mention of a secret playlist of DJ Panic!

Ep. 111: Return Of The Shogun - 80's Japanese Metal

Ep. 111: Return Of The Shogun - 80's Japanese Metal

Kon’nichiwa! Join us this week as we once again make a journey to the far east to the land of the rising sun. This time we jump back to the decade when the western world was introduced to the thunder from Osaka and the lightning from Tokyo. A time when the samurai wielded electric guitars and made the statement to the world that they were a force to reckoned with… This week we welcome the return of the shogun – 80’s Japanese Metal!

What’s this InObscuria thing? We’re a podcast that exhumes obscure Rock n' Punk n' Metal and puts them in one of 3 categories: the Lost, the Forgotten, or the Should Have Beens. We do apologize in advance to Japanese and Japanese-speaking people for all mispronunciations and extreme naivete of Japanese culture and history! This is completely a Westerner’s take on the 1980’s Japanese heavy metal where many of us were first turned on to this country’s amazingly talented rock musicians.

    Songs this week include:

    1. Seikima II - “蝋人形の館 – Wax Doll House” from Worst (1989)
    2. EZO - “Kiss Of Fire” from E-Z-O (1987)
    3. Heavy Metal Army - “Heavy Metal Army” from Heavy Metal Army (1981)
    4. Vow Wow - “Nightless City” from Vow Wow III (1986)
    5. Dead End - “The Damned Thing” from Ghost Of Romance (1987)
    6. Anthem - “Light It Up” from Tightrope (1986)
    7. Earthshaker - “T-O-K-Y-O” from Midnight (1984)
    8. Blizard - “Fly High” from Blizard (1987)
