211: This reverend says politicians continue to fail the Black community, so he's running for congress

Rev. Moses Summerville has strong views on health care and the wage gap. He believes in women’s rights, and he is pro-Black. But, in a time when politicians are clamoring for the Black vote, he sees most offering nothing more than lip service.

How can that change? Summerville says he's tried to set an example in his own longshot campaign for the 42nd Congressional District.

In this week's "The Word" podcast, Summerville explains his approach and how he hopes to be a leader in the Black community.

    June-ology
June-ology defined: the study of June. What does Daniel Boone, donuts, chocolate ice cream, and bugs have in common? What about perfume, headaches, shampoo, flies and DJ's? Oh, yes, does trial technology mean you buy a new device and try it out on a trial basis or does it apply to the judicial system? Come experience June-ology.
