Do What Refreshes YOU - Part 4 with Jacqueline M. Baker

Do What Refreshes YOU - Part 4 with Jacqueline M. Baker

What makes you unique and different? (ponder on that for a while) I'll share my reality. While many people get recharged and refueled by going to the spa, taking multiple days off of work or binging their favorite shows, I have to tell you - that does not do it for me.

I get refreshed from short, spurts of rest and I don't need or like to take off long period of work. I like mini charges and I know that works for me. While I have people in my life who remind me to slow down and take breaks (and I do), my requirements for respite and breaks is best served up for me in shorter periods of time.

I want you to be aware of what best works for you. If what you need is a refresh/recharge, remember that it only works if you do it in a way that is unique and effective for you!

Think Clearly By Positive Purging - Part 1 with Jacqueline M. Baker

Think Clearly By Positive Purging - Part 1 with Jacqueline M. Baker

I hope that you didn't see the P word - purge, and it worried you. I mean, there was an entire movie about purging and (spoiler alert), they weren't purging clothes or paper. What I want you to think about when you hear ME say the word purge in this episode is purging things for clarity, peace and freedom.

Because of a few past scenarios in my life, I find myself being a regular purger. It helps to provide mental and physical space in my life to actually think creatively and get things done.

Join me for part 1 of this 4-part episode as we explore the world of Positive Purging.

Are you serious? Because, you can be! This episode is such a treat! I had the opportunity to connect with Dr. Dara King about the impact that she is making in the health equity space. As a medical professional for many years, (an OBGYN to be exact), Dara knew that she had more in her - more to give, more to do and more impact to make.

Today, we share her journey of advancing from impactful work as Dr. King to giving herself permission to go back to school, obtain another degree and to get started on the Dr. Dara King Institute for Women!
