Is accessing the Internet a fundamental right? A recent judgment affirmed that since so many essential services depend on the internet, shutting down access to the internet is tantamount to a violation of fundamental rights. We look at a worrying trend in India: a frequent resort to doing precisely this. We also look at the qualification of ‘public purpose’ in the state acquiring property and how this was a contentious matter between the judiciary and parliament in the 1950s. "आज कल हमारे देश में धर्म के नाम पर हिंसा को सही ठहराने का काम चल रहा है. अपने अपने हिसाब से हिंसा को सही ठहराने की कोशिश की जा रही है. धर्म के नाम पर हिंसा को सही ठहराने वाले लोगो को साउथ इंडियन फिल्मो की एक्ट्रेस साई पल्लवी ने करार जवाब दिया है. साई पल्लवी ने कश्मीर में कश्मीरी पंडितों की हत्या करने वालों और गौ तस्करी के नाम पर लिंचिंग करने वालों को एक जैसा बताया है. साई पल्लवी के इस बयान के बाद सोशल मीडिया पर कंट्रोवर्सी शुरू होगी है. आइये आपको बताते है क्या है पूरा मामला साउथ एक्ट्रेस साईं पल्लवी इन दिनों अपनी अपकमिंग फिल्म विराट पर्वम के प्रमोशन में जुटी हुई हैं। इसी दौरान एक्ट्रेस ने एक इंटरव्यू में कश्मीरी पंडितों और मॉब लिंचिंग को लेकर एक बयान दिया, जिस पर विवाद बढ़ गया है। दरअसल, उन्होंने कश्मीरी पंडितों के नरसंहार की तुलना गो तस्करी के आरोपियों की लिंचिंग से की है और कहा कि हिंसा कोई भी करे वह गलत है।
