    EP. 239 "Twitter Porn"

    EP. 239 "Twitter Porn"

Trickling down the lane of casual chitchat and riotous laughter, we found ourselves entangled in a fun-filled roller coaster with the ever-entertaining No Shade Just Palm Trees crew.  We kicked off our chat talking about the toughest 2 Chainz album and his recent car accident, but not before our live session met with an unexpected glitch, shaking up the mood with some good-natured ribbing.

Then things took a turn for the spicy! Mr. Royce, the king of controversy, guided us through a lively debate on music, strip clubs, and the golden era of porn stars.  Kiss My Grits asks who do you think should be the next celebrity to grace an adult film? Kehlani or Tracy Ellis Ross?  The chat continued to surprise us when we found ourselves discussing the unexpected attractiveness of Dolly Parton and Nancy Reagan.  And who could forget the ageless Morgan Freeman, whose voice we reckon could make a pretty convincing Jesus Christ!  Submissive Tammy denies she has a fanbase called the Tammalights!

From musing about Jesus' voice to debating the correct pronunciation of 'salmon' and 'caramel', we've covered it all in this episode. We're sure you'd be as baffled as we were when we heard the controversial 'chopped cheese salmon' sandwich.  But don't just take our word for it!  Join us on this wild ride, engage in the chat as it goes down in the 'Gooch', and tell us how you'd say 'caramel'.  If nothing else, it'll surely spark a wave of laughter. So, tune in and enjoy the ride!

Kehlani had a hell of a week I Episode 135

Kehlani in The L Word: Generation Q. Kehlani with Letitia Wright. Kehlani, PERIODT. Needless to say, Kehlani won this week. In queer news, Indonesia banned sex outside of marriage for locals and foreigners, Domestic terror threats to LGBTQ+, Jewish and migrant communities and the latest Brittney Griner update (the day before she was released!) and the state of Georgia came through again. We are upset that Legendary was cancelled and our Bad Queer opinion explores with drag king culture is white washed.

Frank Ocean's Blonde Review, Kehlani's It Was Good Until It Wasn't and Shutter Island Review

In this episode, Wellington and Savon are joined by Maurice Hendricks again, a multimedia content creator, focusing on making music, film production, and video game design and a good friend of the show. They review Frank Ocean's Blonde album from 2016, how this was an album with so much clarity and transparency and why he's such a transcendent and beloved artist. Then they review Kehlani's latest project It Was Good Until It Wasn't and how it highlighted her voice's range and clear-eyed approach and Jaden Smith's debut Syre from 2017 and the sophisticated ideas and thoughts he was conveying.

In the second half of the show, they review Shutter Island, the 2010 American psychological thriller film, starring Leonardo Dicaprio, Michelle Williams, Ben Kingsley, and Mark Ruffallo and directed by Martin Scorsese. They discuss Martin Scorsese delving into a different genre and not getting unanimous praise among a few circles, it being among one of Dicaprio's critically acclaimed favorites and Ben Kingsley's unique role as Dr. Cawley exhibiting a distinct mysteriousness, as he treats mental illness.
