The Modern Crone: Season 1: The 21st Century Shaman: Rubiyanti Basuki

The Modern Crone: Season 1: The 21st Century Shaman: Rubiyanti Basuki

Rubiyanti Basuki was born in the high land of Dieng Plateau, Java, in 1979 and left home at an early age, engaging in life’s lessons when most of us are cocooned in family and school.

Her connection with Spirit and the land through her Kejawan roots meant that she responded to life experiences through a wider angle.  Yanti believes that her path of complex life realities was, and is, a path of empowerment, held by Mother Earth, to accelerate consciousness and spiritual evolution.  She sees her experiences of life and her two children as clear channels of wisdom within that evolution.

Yanti is a successful business woman yet also seamlessly holds the ancient living wisdom of Javanese belief, and this fusion defines her path to complete her journey as ‘a walking mandala’. Yanti is also a leader in the spiritual and social movement called Gemah Ripah which supports others to live a real spiritual daily life.

Join us as we explore the native spirituality of Java as the ‘flowing water of spirit’; the importance of harmony with all phenomenon; the relationship between the land and respect of its drive for balance; the true nature of Java’s sacred sites; shamanism and structured religions and how spirituality is not mutually exclusive of success in business and life...and so much more!
