It's the take of New Yorkers that magically drive rust free 30-year old cars from state to state, looking for adventure and bringing justice to the masses.  all drive 30 year old rust free cars from New York, cross country, and make justice possible for the masses. Did I mention that the cousin is Karate Kid himself, Joe Maccio? And even better, this whole comedic genius movie is centered around the reality of the fact that a locking rear end is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than a one wheel wonder, but only if your smoke-show girlfriend teaches you that first. This one got Marisa Tomei an OSCAR and taught us all that no self respecting southerner eats instant grits. It may be Joe Pesci's most likable character role ever and we'll never get sick of listening to Marisa Tomei explain torque wrenches, posi-traction, and the stock ignition timing of a 327 Chevy.

Roger Kibbe is Senior Developer Evangelist at Viv Labs which is the home of Bixby in Samsung Research Americas. Today, we discuss the evolution of Bixby and voice assistants over the past five years. In particular, we break down the new Bixby Home features and the rise of AI in smart home features. We also go into depth around the importance of command and control voice interactions.

Following up on our Podcast with Adam Cheyer (Ep 69), Samsung Bixby's engineering leader, I caught up with some developers and researchers that have worked with Bixby 2.0. We start off with Joe Murphy, founder of Vocalize.ai which is the leading benchmarking company for smart speaker performance. Then, Roger Kibbe, the best-in-show winner of Samsung Bixby Developer Showcase contest, breaks down how Bixby works from a developer perspective. He goes deep into how the Bixby NLU works, the dev environment, and his rationale for supporting the Samsung platform. Pete Haas was also a finalist for Bixby Developer Showcase and offers his perspective on building an eCommerce capsule and how he needed to adjust to the Bixby voodoo. Both Roger and Pete also compare Bixby to Alexa and Google Assistant development environments. 

Stuart Kibbe moved from the USA to Geneva, Switzerland where he founded THE IT GUYS, a very successful IT services business. On the way, he mentored disadvantaged children in inner city London, a phase which has greatly influenced his ability to show compassion for all those he works with today. As a double entrepreneur couple, Stuart is passionate about marriage and shares his tips on how to make it work, a topic his wife Harriet has turned into her own business (see link below). Stuart's always been obsessed with Peak Human Performance and just can't help himself running the odd triathlon here and there. This is Part 2 of Carnival of Thrills and it picks up exactly where the last one left off; with Bo punching Luke, taking the General Lee, splitting up the family, and ripping apart the fabric of all that we know to be true and right in the world. Why? Because of the mis-guided love of a she-devil named Diane, that's why. Luke, Jesse, and Daisy won't quit though and prove to Bo that his fool hearted desire to jump 32 cars to impress a wack-o temptress would actually result in his murder and the chick leaving him anyway. So, in the grand scheme of things it's a total lose-lose. Then Bo and Luke reconcile and and do the jump together anyway. Because #integrity. Hijinks ensue.

There's an old saying that says, "A friend will help you move, and a real friend will help you move a dead body." In the case of this episode, that proves true. The Dukes aid an old (yet now reformed) swindler friend named Henry Flatt to "stay dead." He had previously faked his own death to hide from Boss Hogg as he'd swindled him out of a ton of money that was later used to start a Youth Shelter. Remember Otis the Drunk from the Andy Griffith Show? That Henry Flatt. The highlight of this episode is seeing the General drive with a coffin in it's trunk (containing a dead body, no less). Oh, and Rosco is back from the "Police Academy" now too. Hijinks ensue.
