Christianity is Good for the Nation with Dennis Peacocke and Katherine Gallagher

Christianity is Good for the Nation with Dennis Peacocke and Katherine Gallagher

Christians are increasingly criticized for their opinions in the public square and often labeled as Christian nationalists. But should this criticism cause us to retract our opinions and retreat? Or is Christian cultural engagement exactly what our nations need?  We are called to faithfully reflect Christ not only in our personal lives, but everywhere–in our families, churches, workplaces, and yes, truth must even influence politics, and our work in public institutions and culture. Our guests, Dennis Peacocke and Katherine Gallagher from our affiliate organization, GoStrategic, help us consider strategies and practical ways that we can meaningfully engage in these areas for Christ, and for the nations.

Moving Beyond Postcolonialism to Consider the Foundation of Healthy Cultures with Lennox Kalifungwa

Moving Beyond Postcolonialism to Consider the Foundation of Healthy Cultures with Lennox Kalifungwa

Postcolonialism is a hot topic these days as many groups are eager to divide us up into oppressors and the oppressed–but do these categories help? Young and influential Zambian writer and speaker Lennox Kalifungwa says that there is much more to be considered than ethnicity, culture, and nationality. If we want true freedom and flourishing as individuals and societies, we need to promote truth, beauty, and goodness, looking beyond worldly categories that perpetuate brokenness and victimhood. There is no short-changing the effort it takes to move beyond the syncretism that is found in churches around the world. Join us as we discuss these important topics together.

The Lamb and The Lamb's Wife | William Hinn | August 14, 2022

Faith That Works Part 9 - Wisdom From Above (James 3:13-18) (Father's Day)

Faith That Works Part 9 - Wisdom From Above (James 3:13-18) (Father's Day)

Biblical wisdom is revealed by example, so the best teaching should be observable. Our submission to Jesus and the gentleness that comes with wisdom from him speaks powerfully to those around us, influencing their lives in a positive way. This Godly wisdom is not bitter, jealous, or selfish, and is not seeking its own gain. God's wisdom is pure and leads to peace, gentleness, mercy, and selflessness, like Jesus! Today we explore how to walk in this wisdom that represents the culture of Heaven.

    Christian Nationalism

Welcome to Collide. The aim of this show is to attract an audience where faith and culture collide, (pun intended) through intentional conversation.

    The Baddest Son of God

    The Baddest Son of God

Take a listen to our Sunday sermon titled "The Baddest Son of God," by Pastor Aaron Jones. We discuss the difference between react and responding. As children of God we need to find ourselves governing from a third heaven reality, and not allowing ourselves to be swayed by the things we might see going on around us. Pastor Aaron challenges to walk in our identity in Christ and change our world's culture.

The Church, Christianity & Politics As We Enter 2021

The Church, Christianity & Politics As We Enter 2021

#019// How is the Church positioned as we enter 2021? What's our stance when it comes to what is happening in our culture? I've got some thoughts I want to share . . .

This episode of the podcast is slightly different than my "normal" offering. In general, I like to offer highly practical and applicable teachings here on Positioned to Prosper, but today I really felt to share my heart around the state of the Church and Christianity as we enter 2021, as they have been buffeted over the past ten months by pandemic, social justice tensions and a highly contested election. And this episode may be quite pivotal for some as they determine whether they can handle my brand of delivery when it comes to absolute truth and the role of the Church to influence and shape culture as we move forward.

I'm also addressing the elephant in the room: "Erica, do you think someone who voted for Joe Biden can really be a Christian?" I'm going there in this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast. So if you're interested in where this Christian speaker and educator stands on some of the most volatile culture questions facing us at the top of this newly dawning year, grab your journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go!
