Crush ruined things again! In this episode of Wrasslin’ Raw, the boys view the 1997 King of the Ring, one of the higher tiered Pay Per Views of the year. Matches featuring Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, the Undertaker, and Farooq all (mostly) live up to their promise, while Ahmed Johnson, Jerry Lawler, and Goldust all fall flat. Hunter Hearst Helmsley beats Mankind in a barnburner to become the King of the  Ring, and Vince McMahon continues to poison commentary with various MANEUVERS!

The first thing I want to happen, is to get Jake Roberts off of our TV screens!  In this episode of Wrasslin’ Raw, the boys get treated to the iconic 1996 King of the Ring.  While there are duds involving the Ultimate Warrior and Vader, some shining examples come through with Steve Austin and Goldust.  The British Bulldog gets some redemption in his rematch with Shawn Michaels, and Mankind and the Undertaker go one-on-one for the first time. What could go wrong with having two referees?

Well, folks, this Pay Per View certainly lives up to its reputation.  In this episode of Wrasslin’ Raw, the 1995 King of the Ring tournament is overshadowed by the Kiss My Foot Match and the Super Best Friends Tag Match featuring Diesel and Bam Bam Bigelow.  And that’s not necessarily a bad thing, as Mabel’s transition to King Mabel is something worth forgetting. Savio Vega gets his push, but the Undertaker does a job that compares to no other.  ECW! ECW! ECW!
