Episode 17: Knoebels (Flying Turns, Flyer Flying Scooter, Scooter Bumper Cars)

The fifth stop on my August roller coaster road trip was Knoebels Amusement Resort, a quirky family-operated traditional amusement park in Elysburg, PA.  It's home to the one-two punch of Phoenix and Twister, two world-class wood coasters, an unbelievable collection of antique flat rides, and excellent food.

Join me for my first-time experience at this gem of a classic amusement park where I ride their legendary attractions, and soak up the atmosphere at this one-of-a-kind destination.

Episode 35: American Travels and Muppet Marathons with Mike

We're on time this week! Unfortunately, that does mean a bit of an abrupt cut-off at the end of this relatively short episode, but there is a nice surprise waiting for those who keep listening! This time, Mike tells Emily (and the rest of us) all about his trip with his girlfriend, riding rollercoasters all the way up and down the east coast of the USA - after which, and we're sorry for anyone thoroughly Muppeted out, he describes his experience of the recent Muppet Movie Marathon in London, and some new thoughts on the constituent films. If you ARE sick to the back teeth of Muppets, or just want to let us know what you think, you can indeed do that at disnerds@gmail.com, or by Liking us on Facebook, or by leaving us a review on iTunes - and, of course, don't forget you can hear our shows while on the go, with Stitcher SmartRadio, available on your iPhone, iPad, Android phones and beyond, downloadable from any app store. Most importantly, as always - enjoy!
