Ep 8- Bird Box V. Quiet Place

Ep 8- Bird Box V. Quiet Place

In this episode we discuss the allegations of Bird Box being a Quiet Place knock off, actors with disabilities, inclusion, and that one time that Liza was type cast as a small nerdy Asian... which she is...  It also gets a little heated towards the end but don't worry, if we were going to break up it'd be because someone stole food and probably nothing else.

    11 - A Quiet Place

Hellooooo!! If we could use ASL to sign these details to you, we would, because this week's episode is on "A Quiet Place." Listen in (or not) to hear Angie finally tell Kelsey about the brilliantly sound-edited movie about monsters who land on Earth in 2020 from a meteor and prey upon people who are noisy. (I know some coworkers who could use a little of this fear in their lives, amirite?) Anyway, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are amazing and they're the most redeeming things in this movie.

    Thanks for listening! (Or not!)

Ep. 2: Rom-Com On Why Is This Movie So Stupid

Ep. 2: Rom-Com On Why Is This Movie So Stupid

On this week's episode, Tessa and Tricia discuss the SFLs of the rom-com you love to hate, Something Borrowed, starring Ginnifer Goodwin and Kate Hudson. The hosts newly formed relationship is tested as they duke it out over who is the less terrible human: Rachel or Darcy.  Hilary's role as pod mediator is solidified and an off-air kumbaya moment brings everyone back together.

If you love rom-coms, this episode is for you. If you hate them, then this episode is definitely for you.

CronoCine 2x02: Un Lugar Tranquilo (A Quiet Place, John Krasinski, 2018)

    ¡Hola Crononautas!

Televigion has returned! In a new more focused format and with a new name, Pilot Season.

017 (BIRTHDAY EDITION): Steve Howey — A 'Shameless' Look From 'Reba' to 'Sons of Anarchy''

WELCOME TO A SPECIAL '1ST BIRTHDAY EDITION' OF THAT ONE AUDITION PODCAST!

From nuanced and honest portrayals of fatherhood-gone-wild across the eighth season of Showtime's EMMY® Award-nominated series SHAMELESS to palpable intensity on the likes of SONS OF ANARCHY, Steve Howey reflects a classic masculinity on-screen equally steeped in humor and heart. That timeless leading man spark and quiet strength remain signatures of the acclaimed actor, writer, producer, and entrepreneur.  Achieving a basketball scholarship to junior college in Colorado, he played two seasons before pursuing his calling as an actor. He would go from SOMETHING BORROWED alongside Kate Hudson, Jon Krasinski, and Jennifer Goodwin to BRIDE WARS where he re-teamed with Hudson, Anne Hathaway, and Chris Pratt to SUPERCROSS, LOSING CONTROL, UNLEASHED, IN YOUR EYES, and SEE YOU IN VALHALLA.

Steve currently can be seen in all 8 seasons of the critically acclaimed show SHAMELESS on Showtime and the anticipated film MAKING BABIES.

    A Quiet Place

    A Quiet Place

This week we finally catch up with John Krasinski's feature directing debut with barely any dialogue.  He and his costars (including his wife Emily Blunt) keep a tense tone throughout this alien invasion/suspense movie.  We also get into it's fast pace and effective editing.  One of the best films of the year, so far!!  Subscribe on iTunes or Apple Podcasts:  https://itun.es/i6gB67Y  Check out our Facebook page:  www.facebook.com/actorandengineer and follow us on twitter @actorengineer

    Tully

    Tully

Thanks to the FMB's parents at Atebit.net, the boys went and saw a (barely) advanced screening of Jason Reitman's "Tully".

Maciej and Tobias get the Tullytalk out of the way early and take a wide detour through Bergville and A Quiet Place before miraculously bringing it back on topic with a little help from Max Landis.

It's a scattershot episode folks, but a lot of fun nonetheless!

Next week the FMB take to the high seas with Peter Berg's BATTLESHIP.
