First time you saw the movie?

    Plot:

-Kirk is a loser.. Get it.

-It funny and sad hes trying to get her back at his parents apartment

-The lost phone is a interesting plot device

-Even if I'm just returning a phone to a SUPER HOT girl, I'm not wearing my work uniform

-All the jokes and interactions are very formulaic

-Hard Right Jay at a Hockey game

-Do you think Alice Eve is hot? Krysten Ritter is kinda gothy hot.

-Kirk is a 5-6, what would you grade yourself?

-How many dicks as Molly sucked? 36-37? The hoecky player, Cam at the resturant... who else?

-The pool reaction was pretty funny.

    -The family interaction is funny.

-The musci during slap shot regatta reminds me of the music for The League.

-Its bad enough cumming in your pants, but then having the parents show up would be terrible.

-Have y'all ever cum in your own pants? Also, is he not wearing underwear, you'd think that would absorb some of it.

-The fomulaic break up, and the get the gril back bit with a grand gesture.

-Calling it now, the fat friend has a super hot wife (I was wrong)

-This movie almost makes Pittsburgh look appealing.

-The guy showing everyone his junk... Never happened.

-You'd think he'd know to start with the clippers

-Y'all ever shave your balls or pubes?

-Its defninately gay having your friend shave your pubes

    -Shit move parents inviting Cam

    -Mollys defect?

-I literally don't remember the embrassment of getting naked in front of someone in a LONG TIME.

-Poor guy talking himself out of getting laid... Sad. hard to watch someone sabotoge themselves like that.

-Stark realization incoming... You're always good enough for yourself.

-So HERE is the grand gesture

-You gotta think this movie has to be weird for Alice Eve, a whole movie about how hot and perfect she is... Think she thinks of this movie when she has diarrhea?

-Y'all watn to get your piolots license?

Top Five Trivia of the movie:

-Jay Baruchel's man-scaping nude stand-in proved to have very hairy legs so had to be sent to a beauty salon for a full waxing

-During the scene where Kirk's friends are teasing him about his premature ejaculation, Jack's hamburger can be seen to have french fries on it. This is a custom local to Pittsburgh. Sandwiches are famously served that way at Primanti's, a popular Pittsburgh eatery seen earlier in the background during Kirk and Molly's date where they meet Cam.

-The restaurant for Kirk and Molly's date isn't a real restaurant. It was a set constructed on an empty bandstand in Pittsburgh's Market Square.

-Alice Eve and Krysten Ritter have appeared in the MCU TV universe. Alice Eve appeared in 10 episodes of Iron Fist. Krysten Ritter played the title role of Jessica Jones.

-Molly's parents are played by Alice Eve's real-life parents, Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan.

Kirk Kettner is a TSA agent at Pittsburgh International Airport. He attempts to reconcile with his ex-girlfriend Marnie, despite her treating him poorly. Meanwhile, an attractive and successful woman named Molly McCleish, arrives at the terminal to board a flight. Kirk is the only TSA agent who does not flirt with or attempt to harass her, attracting Molly, especially after he saves her from his boss who makes unwanted advances on her. After boarding, she calls her cell phone accidentally left behind at security, Kirk answers it and arranges to return it the following evening, deepening the attraction.

Kirk and his friend Devon arrive at the Andy Warhol Museum the following evening to return Molly's phone. While there, Kirk is wrongly accused of spilling a drink on the museum director and is asked to leave. Molly feels bad and offers Kirk tickets to a Pittsburgh Penguins hockey game. Kirk brings his friend, Stainer, to the game, where they meet Molly and her friend Patty. While Stainer and Molly are away from their seats, Patty tells Kirk that Molly is interested in him.

Molly asks Kirk out a few days later and he agrees. Stainer predicts their relationship will fail, he refers to Molly as a "10", and Kirk as a "5", saying that is too big a difference. Patty meanwhile believes Molly has only chosen Kirk because he is "safe". While on their date, Kirk tells Molly that he dreams of becoming a pilot, while Molly shares her story of how she was once a lawyer before realizing her love for event planning. At the end of the night, they kiss in Kirk's car.

Molly accompanies Kirk to a family lunch, where she charms the men and makes Marnie jealous. After returning to Molly's apartment, while making out, Kirk ejaculates prematurely in his pants and moments later Molly's parents arrive. Desperate to conceal the stain on his pants, Kirk seems discourteous by not standing up to shake hands and leaves quickly. Believing he fled to avoid meeting her parents, Molly ignores Kirk's calls. Kirk tracks her down and admits the true reasons for his leaving and she forgives him.

At Molly's sister Katie's 21st birthday party, Kirk is troubled by Molly being intentionally vague about Kirk's line of work to her parents. Molly's ex-boyfriend Cam, a stunt pilot, then arrives and alludes to Molly having a physical defect. After the party, they return to Molly's apartment and partially undress. Kirk discovers Molly's "defect" is slightly webbed toes, which Kirk considers so minor that he decides that she is indeed too perfect for him. Upset with Kirk over his insecurities and wishing that there was something wrong with her to justify them being together, Molly confesses that Cam had the same problem. She admits she asked Kirk out because she considered him safe, causing Kirk to break up with her. Kirk resumes his relationship with Marnie and makes plans to attend a family vacation in Branson together.

Later, Stainer asks an ex-girlfriend of his if he was good enough for her, she tells him that his insecurities caused her to end their relationship. Realizing he caused Kirk and Molly's break-up by telling Kirk that Molly was too good for him, Stainer phones Patty and gets her to bring Molly to the airport. Stainer tries to get Kirk off the plane he has boarded, but to no avail. He has Jack stop the plane, causing everyone to have to de-board. Kirk flees from Marnie, who chases after him, and Kirk breaks up with her in the process. Kirk meets Molly at the terminal gate, where she confesses Kirk's insecurities about himself are justified, but that she wants to be with him regardless. They reconcile and resume their relationship.

In the ending credits, Kirk surprises Molly with a mystery trip to Cleveland via small aircraft, as he has fulfilled his dream of becoming a pilot

Spooky Season continues all month long on the EstoBro TV Podcast so that the Gents can be distracted from the fact that the Tampa Bay Rays were eliminated from the playoffs...it probably explains TV's absence from the episode. Regardless, the fun does not stop where special guests feature Rob the Noob and Producer Abz of the 4Nerds1Podcast. First, everyone has their reaction to Sora being selected as a character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (11:00) and why the character was chosen despite the countless other options available. EstoBro and his guests also discuss the news that Jessica Jones may transition to the MCU fully with the show possibly shifting to Disney+ (26:15). The primary focal point of the episode is discussing all things Harry Potter (36:15) especially with the franchise's major impact on Halloween and what it means to nerd culture. The show concludes with EstoBro giving much praise to Rob the Noob's very own "Florida Man of the Week" segment on his show (65:45), with a surprise with something more that embraces the culture of Florida Man.

    VMI the movie, part 2

    VMI the movie, part 2

A LONG TIME AGO ON VERONICA MARS

    • Veronica has choices to make! NYC or Neptune? Lawyering or detectiving? Piz or Logan? Try to guess, go on, guess.
    • Armed with her favourite tools, a bug, a long lens and a taser, Veronica closes in on Carrie’s murderer...
    • ...And it’s not any of the candidates you thought it might be in the first half of the movie - it’s the guy you barely saw at all, Cobb! Who? Cobb! You remember Cobb.
    • Cobb!
    • The death toll rises - Deputy Sacks, Gia, possibly a cat - and our beloved Keith ends up in ICU.
    • Sheriff Dan Lamb is happy to frame Logan, doesn’t want to catch the real killer, and plants a gun in Weevil’s hand to make it look like Celeste shot him in self-defence. Veronica can’t resist getting her teeth into all that Neptune corruption.

Join Jenny Owen Youngs and Helen Zaltzman to investigate the second half of Veronica Mars: the 2014 movie, and delve into such mysteries as how long Pizvonica have been a thing, why Sweaty Luke is just there for some kind of gross 1950s-style plot, and whether these kids ever needed to cover up Susan's death at all, but especially after the statute of limitations has elapsed.

Content note: Veronica Mars contains heavy themes, and this episode includes storylines concerning murder, violence, addiction and car crashes.

A LONG TIME AGO ON VERONICA MARS

    • 91,585 fans missed the show so much that they kickstarted a movie! The third-highest funded Kickstarter project at that time!
    • So off we all go back to Neptune to see some old pals, like Wallace! Principal Clemmons! Gia Goodman! Sweaty Luke! Corny! Aaaand Logan being suspected of murder.
    • Plus some new pals, like Mac’s hot new hair! Piz’s boss Ira Glass! a new Sheriff Lamb who is just as shitty as the old Sheriff Lamb! And an intense Logan fan in a wig.
    • We’re not so pleased to see the Pizvonica sex tape again, and it causes a big punchup at the high school reunion!
    • We also reluctantly reunite with Celeste Kane, as she shoots the now upstanding husband and dad Weevil.
    • And even though Veronica’s supposedly happy living in New York City, in a relationship with Piz, about to become a big shot lawyer, you know she can’t resist a Logan in distress.

Join Jenny Owen Youngs and Helen Zaltzman to investigate the first half of Veronica Mars: the 2014 movie, and delve into such mysteries as: how Keith has such a spacious lovely home these days, Dax Shepard's van, why Mac and Wallace force the heinous reunion on Veronica and poor poor Piz, and leg erotica.

Content note: Veronica Mars contains heavy themes, and this movie includes storylines concerning murder, violence and sex tapes.
