Hailing from Houston, Texas, Bertrand Vellkey as gained the notorious reputation of being the “Mr. Rogers” of the community. An Impressive feat considering the talent pool for kindness is extremely abundant with this group of people. Bert has been playing guitar in the Alhambra/Los Angeles area over the past decade with his own project the Space Race, which soon evolved into the Crazy Brave. Bert has also been a member of the Everly Brothers Experience touring roster since 2016. Bert is currently now working on a solo record that is expected to be released this summer.

This week’s Making The Scene PLaNETS edition features musician, songwriter, and all around good guy Zachary Zmed. Known in community for his original work with The Janks, Zach and his brother Dylan (a LB6 Show Alum. This week’s Making The Scene with PLaNETS features cellist Emily Elkin. Emily has spent the past ten years in Los Angeles performing with her previous group LA River Bend, PLaNETS, and touring with Angel Olsen. She currently is working on a wonderful new project with her husband Kenny Becker called the Sunny Hope Hall Children’s Choir. Oh yeah, she was also last seen in a Weezer music video for “All My Favorite Songs".

Kim Zsebe is one of the top music photographers in the Los Angeles area. Over the past decade Kim has shot for The Record Company, David Lee Roth, Van Halen, The Janks, The Deltaz and many more. This weeks episode features super fan Derek Scott, known to his friends and contemporaries as Dubs. Dubs has been in on the Los Angeles music scene as soon as he moved there from Chico, CA. In addition to being a huge supporter of the Janks and PLaNETS, Dubs was motived by Adam Stilwell and others to start his own project: Beers for Fears.
