Go Short komt er weer aan! Dit filmfestival valt als een warme deken over het Nijmeegse filmtheater LUX van 3 tot en met 7 april, en biedt een prachtselectie aan filmshorts. Voor presentator Ruud is het al jaren een vaste prik.
Een van de programmeurs van het festival is Teun van Laake, en hij schoof op zondag 17 maart aan om te Duimpjeworstelen. Teun was ook actief bij het Eindhovense festival DOCfeed en doet nog steeds geregeld dingen voor het InScience Filmfestival.
Hij heeft een hekel aan The Killing of a Sacred Deer, de film die regisseur Yorgos Lanthimos maakte vóór het alom geprezen The Favourite. Hoofdrolspeler Colin Farrell speelt een hartchirurg met mooie handen, die te maken krijgt met duistere krachten. Kan hij zijn gezin redden?

Our hosts catch a second wind in the Oscar race and manage to catch up on every film nominated for Best Picture this year (BlackkKlansman missed out on an ep though, sorry Spike). The boys try to give each film a fair shake, but truth be told they really hold their tongues and roll their sleeves up for lucky last, Vice (sorry Adam).
