    S06E07 - In carcere

    S06E07 - In carcere

What We Do In The Shadows (Seasons 1 & 2)

What We Do In The Shadows (Seasons 1 & 2)
Even the most hardened horror fan can't watch scary stuff all the time and every so often, you need to mix in a few laughs...

Which means this is a perfect opportunity to discuss FX's phenomenal mockumentary comedy series, What We Do in the Shadows! Mike & Kat are flying solo tonight while Andrew is on vacation and they are breaking down the hilarious vampire show that has caught on like wildfire.

Based on the 2014 movie of the same name, WWDITS tells the story of four vampire roommates and one vampire familiar living in present-day Staten Island. If this has somehow slipped past you, hop on Hulu and binge this bad boy.

But first, Mike & Kat give quick reviews of Netflix's The End of the F*cking World & The Blackcoat's Daughter.

Reconnecting to the Source: How It Can Change You and Transform the World

Reconnecting to the Source: How It Can Change You and Transform the World
We are in a critical period of change. Crises in our health, economy and ecology are all part of this transformation. Ervin Laszlo believes the solution requires our learning to think and act differently and to honor the kind of experience that reconnects us to the source. He writes: “We are empathetic and collaborative beings; not uncaring and destructive competitors. We are one; our separateness is an illusion. We are intrinsically oriented toward wholeness and love and are linked to one another and to the universe…The time has come to allow the experience of our own fundamental nature to rise to our consciousness and change our thinking and our life. The time has come for you and for me, and for a critical mass of sensitive and responsible people, to reconnect to the source. Then we will change our thinking and our life—and change the course of history.” Please join us Thursday to learn how to reconnect with the universe even if you don’t consider yourself spiritual or religious.

On today's episode I talk to actor and voiceover artist Carlos Alazraqui. Carlos is probably most often recognized as Deputy James Garcia from Comedy Central’s hit show Reno 911! A standup comic for over 25 years, he is also one of LA’s top voiceover actors with hundreds of credits to his name, including The Taco Bell Chihuahua, Mr. Weed on FOX’s Family Guy, Lazlo on Cartoon Network’s Camp Lazlo, Bane in Justice League: Doom, and Mr. Crocker on Nickelodeon’s long running series Fairly OddParents. Currently he is rebooting his role of Rocko in the New Rocko's Modern Life for Nickelodeon, due out next year. Carlos also recently won the prestigious Annie Award for "Outstanding Achievement in Voice Acting in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production" for his role of Ponce de León in The Mr. Peabody and Sherman Show.
