The Lehigh 380 "Defender" bullet is killer cool, as Cartman might say. :) Underwood and Blackhills are loading this thing, and if you or a loved one carries a 380 for self-defense, this is the load to use! Also, how does the 6.5 PRC do in high wind (exceptionally well, in fact)... we'll discuss the performance of the 153 grain Hornady ATIP at 1 mile... and can't we all agree? Hasn't the tranny crap gone WAY TOO FAR? We believe so, and more and more sane folks around the globe are in total agreement. We'll talk about these and other things on tonight's episode of The BangSteel Long Range Shooting Podcast. :)

    Jeanne Clery

    Episode 1 Jeanne Clery

In April 1986, first year student Jeanne Clery, a bubbly member of the tennis team, was brutally slain in her dorm room bed. The crime was incredibly violent and disturbing. But it did not take authorities long to find her killer, as he had confessed – and to everyone’s shock, he was also a Lehigh student. Josoph Henry told his friends he had killed a girl and stolen some of her stuff. Henry was quickly tried for the crime and sentenced to death. His sentence was eventually pleaded down to life in prison. But Jeanne’s legacy lives on, thanks to her parents. The Clerys sued Lehigh for lax security, and initiated a sweeping legislative trend that engendered a federal law named after their daughter. As a result of the Clery Act, colleges and universities that receive federal funds must be accountable for reporting crimes on their campuses, and ensuring that their students stay safe.

'The Clery Act' requires colleges and universities to report campus crime data, support victims of violence, and publicly outline the policies and procedures they have put into place to improve campus safety. Learn more about it, and about the Clery Center here-

Blue is the New White #54 - Ken Midgett & Paige Knowles, Lehigh Career and Technical Institute

Today, Kenneth Midgett (or Coach as he’s known by his students) is returning to the show. Ken is an instructor at Lehigh Career and Technical Institute. Earning instructor of the year honors in 2019. To find out more about Ken, check out the first episode I did with him.

Along side him is a recent graduate and remarkable young advocate of the skilled trades. Her name is Paige Knowles. Paige just graduated from LCTI and attributes the most growth in her young life to the experiences she had while attending. Not only has she developed an unmatched work ethic and tenacity, but also a true appreciation for the skilled trades. Overcoming the adversity from her peers, she made the life changing decision to attend LCTI and learn from coach. Although she can jump right into plumbing, Paige sees the need to get others like her interested in this ever-rewarding line of work. So she is focused on spreading the message any way that she can.

Get ready to listen to this inspiring duo talk about the importance of blue collar work and all the benefits that can be reaped within.
