    Forgiven

    Forgiven
Forgiveness and resurrection enable us to walk in faith. Through Jesus's healing, we see that hindrances cannot obstruct faith, because God dismantles systems that hinder liberation. Comfort cannot be an excuse for disobedience. God's goodness finds us, compelling us to rise, too.

Some Random Fishermen - ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE

    “Some Random Fishermen”

    Mark 1:14-20

Some random fishermen encountered Jesus.  He called them to repent, believe, and follow Him, and their lives were forever changed as they did so and became his first disciples. As we encounter Jesus, He calls us to repent, believe, and follow Him so that we might also become his disciples.

    Encounters with Jesus (Lent)

Throughout the Gospels, people had amazing encounters with Jesus. These were ordinary people who were forever changed by their encounters with Him. With this series, as we walk through the season of Lent, we'll see how these people were changed by Jesus and recognize that through our own encounters with Jesus, He can change us, too.  With this series, we will also refocus our hearts and minds on Jesus, on who he was, what he taught, and the meaning of his death, as we prepare to celebrate his resurrection on Easter Sunday.

    A Woman at a Well

    A Woman at a Well

    “A Woman at a Well”

    John 4:1-26, 39-42

A woman at a well had an encounter with Jesus, and it changed her life and the lives of others in her town, as she and they came to believe in Him as their savior. As we encounter Jesus, He calls us to believe in Him and receive Him as our savior, too.

Give Up Giving Up For Lent

Give Up Giving Up For Lent

Do you go into Lent thinking maybe this will be the year you'll finally kick some bad habits and make big changes (and maybe lose some weight in the process)?

Do you have half a dozen ideas for what to give up, but never get around to clarifying what you're actually going to focus on? (This was me for forever.)

Or are you the kind of penitent who starts out peaceful and self-controlled, with a clear goal in mind?

Whatever you're M.O. is, I'm willing to bet that at some point, either during Lent or on just your normal homeschool day, you're tempted to give up.

    To quit.

To throw in the towel and go down an easier, more familiar path.

I want to help you have more success with Lent this year than you've had in the past, which will set you up for more success in life as well.

That's why during today's episode of the Happy, Holy Mama Podcast, I am going to shed some light as to the inner workings of your human brain and why it resists change so much.

I am also going to teach you how to catch yourself before you quit (or in the act of quitting) and how to come back to focus so you can keep moving forward toward your goals, during Lent and beyond.

Grab your earbuds and let's dive into today's episode: Give Up Giving Up For Lent.

Episode 123 - Jesus calls Matthew to be His disciple and rebukes the misguided Pharisees - Saturday after Ash Wednesday - February 17, 2024 - Lk 5:27-32

Jesus calls Matthew to be His disciple and rebukes the misguided Pharisees. Every Catholic Man can grow in happiness by seeking the Gift of Counsel from the Holy Spirit so he can receive and proclaim Christ’s Truth and Mercy and by building the Virtue of Diligence so he can always strive for continual conversion in his life.

From Suspicion to Trust with Chaplain Fr. Jon Meyer

From Suspicion to Trust with Chaplain Fr. Jon Meyer

Our Church family is divided. Yet Christ calls us to communion in Him.

In this Lenten podcast, Chaplain Fr. Jon Meyer and host Lindy Wynne explore how the division in our Catholic Church increases our sense of unhealthy suspicion and harms our capacity to love as we are called.

In life there is a healthy, intuitive suspicion we are blessed with that helps to keep us and our children safe. At the same time, there is a suspicion that is not of God and divides us even as we are called to be unified in Christ.

This Lent let's invite Christ to help us sift through our suspicion and heal what is not of Him. May we grow in trust and become one body in Christ!

Episode 117 - Jesus casts out demons from a possessed man in the synagogue in Capernaum - Sunday January 28, 2024 - Mk 1:21-28

Episode 117 - Jesus casts out demons from a possessed man in the synagogue in Capernaum - Sunday January 28, 2024 - Mk 1:21-28

Jesus casts out demons from a possessed man in the synagogue in Capernaum. Every Catholic man can grow in happiness by seeking the Gift of Knowledge from the Holy Spirit so he always seeks God’s protection from Satan and by being deathly afraid of Hell and by seeking the Gift of the Fear of the Lord from the Holy Spirit so he can also fear ever being separated from Jesus.
