Leo Season: Rising Sign 101 + The Taurus Triple Conjunction

Ep. 33 | This is a very active week and Cory is trying something new with the format of the show! This episode will feature guest: Amanda Sophia throughout the whole episode. 

Amanda Sophia is a professional consulting astrologer and certified yoga instructor from Silicon Valley, California. She discovered astrology at the beginning of her Saturn Return in 2017 and completed Chris Brennan’s Hellenistic Astrology Course and The Professional Astrologer Course in May 2021. She is currently finishing an electional astrology course. Her practice is a mix of traditional and modern and is a self-proclaimed Saturn specialist. She loves creating a confidential safe space for her clients.

This episode begins with a conversation about Saturn which then progresses into a conversation about characteristics of & lived experiences of having Leo rising. As Leo risings, both Cory and Amanda share mirrored experiences and share their Leo life notes with listeners. This turns into a conversation about rising signs and expands on a new concept for the show: conversations highlighting each of the rising signs.

Cory and Amanda then discuss the differences in thought between the different schools of astrology and how they each feel about what our rising signs signify in our natal charts and discuss where there is overlap. 

The show concludes with the astrology of the week and together Cory and Amanda discuss: the triple conjunction, Sun trine Jupiter, and Mercury’s move into practical Virgo on August 4th. 

This week, we have Mars and Uranus meeting with the North Node in Taurus. This energy may be disruptive or unstable and may deliver a curveball. This is turning point energy. We also have Sun trine Jupiter and this may highlight themes of Jupiter retrograde and/or give you the confidence and enthusiasm to do the big thing. Later in the week Mercury moves into its home sign of Virgo and will bring a level headed, more grounded vibe.
