Just as they were getting ready to turn in, Jesus came to them asking to use their boat as a platform to teach from. After He was done, Jesus told Peter and Andrew that if they went back out into deeper waters they would catch fish. Though there may have been some reluctance, Peter obeyed and to his amazement, they took in a catch so big that the nets began to break. This got Peter’s attention. Later that week, as Jesus was walking around Galilee, a leper approached Him and begged Jesus to cleanse him. Breaking all convention Jesus touched the man and he was made clean!

Matthew 8 - Jesus heals 3 and they aren't what was expected

Matthew 8 - Jesus heals 3 and they aren't what was expected

When Jesus finished the Sermon on the Mount, he came down and performed three miracles that showed God's mercy is available to all!
His first healing was to a Leper, the most reviled and outcast of people in the Jewish society.
His second miracle was for a Gentile, a Roman Centurian no less! The Romans were hated by the Jews because they oppressed and punished the Jews!
Lastly, He healed a Jewish woman.
Jesus and His grace aren't reserved for only a certain few. He isn't only for the righteous, but it's all a matter of heart. The leper and Centurian believed they could be healed by Jesus, so they were.

    Hebrews 13: Outside the Camp

    Hebrews 13: Outside the Camp

    Hebrews 13:7-16

Payton Roth joins Edwin again to discuss going outside the camp to suffer reproach with Jesus. Having grown up under the New Covenant, there may be some aspects of this word picture we miss. Edwin and Payton dig into the Torah to discover the pictures of shame and reproach of going outside the camp, but also of atonement. They round the discussion out by discussing the two cities of Jerusalem: earthly and heavenly.
