Protecting Your Personal Power PROACTIVELY & Handling *Holiday/Year-End* Stress

Protecting Your Personal Power PROACTIVELY & Handling *Holiday/Year-End* Stress

The holidays are a time of year for all things love, gratitude, cheer, joy, and affection -- but for most people, there are no questions as to why it has coincidentally also been dubbed "the stress season".

Whether you are dealing with stressful family dynamics (or if we're honest... sometimes specific stressful family members), mental or financial stress, the societal push to "keep up with the Joneses" with material things, or just a general "mehh.." in terms of these upcoming months, keep this as a resource for when you need a boost!

In this episode, Tessa covers the importance of practicing being proactive over reactive to situations outside of our control, as well as the thought-work involved in doing so:
    1. Upward Questioning - what it means and how it rewires your brain's neural networks when dealing with stressful situations or environments.
    2. Understanding Neutrality AND **bonus** how developing neutral thoughts is the simplest gateway skill for creating new thought patterns and emotional responses to things out of our control
    3.  Proper and firm boundary setting, the healthy way

**Make sure to download this session and replay it when you need a boost. Don't forget to share on your socials or with a friend who could benefit from our conversation as well!**

    Sober the new cool challenge

    Sober the new cool challenge

This week’s episode we look at how alcohol has and is being marketed to keep the masses on the hamster wheel of oppression and control.

Sounds ridiculous when we consider how much is spent each year on treating alcohol related disease and health issue’s but that’s how hamster wheel’s function. Perpetual cycles of repeating action with no positive result and the only people that gain are those who own the companies of alcohol production and big pharma.

All the while the average person has been conditioned to believe they are the ones choosing, but just take a moment to review…

Globally national holidays, religious festivals, events, and celebrations AKA our free time, is entrancingly linked with alcohol. Consider the amount of advertising we are bombarded with, consider family traditions, cultural traditions, movies, and music all relay sublingual messaging that we NEED alcohol to have a good time.

And in doing so, during that down time, we have an altered state of mind which prevents us from pondering on the complexities of life and societal structure. We are still on the hamster wheel, just a differing kind.

We live in a system where the few benefits from the choices of the masses and so those choices have been controlled, masterminded, and covertly integrated as a normal way of life. We challenge you to step away, and start to take back control, by making choices from a higher conscious awareness.

Pt 2: Avoid The Most Common Deathbed Regrets By Understanding The Worthiness Wound

Pt 2: Avoid The Most Common Deathbed Regrets By Understanding The Worthiness Wound

This episode builds on our conversation in Part 1 in which we discussed the most commonly revealed deathbed regrets.
To do so, we will be breaking down how the "Worthiness Wound" shapes our reality to can lead to these regrets. This includes how to spot your worthiness wound, and how this information allows YOU to avoid these deepest held regrets in YOUR life.

I have to start by saying - The worthiness wound is not always something we can see clearly, and it doesn’t affect us in the same way that a physical wound affects us.
A physical wound you can see - you know what it is, where it came from, and hopefully how to treat it.
But the worthiness wound is different. Most of the time we don’t consciously know where it came from, what it is, how it shows up for us, or what to do about it and how to treat it.
However, if we leave it untreated, the final symptom is exactly our topic - when live gives you the opportunity to have a birds-eye view over your life, like when you are in your last moments, you find yourself asking:
    What could have been better?
What do I wish I would have known?
What do I wish I allowed myself to believe, or do, or experience?

The worthiness wound does not feel like something in us is broken, or wrong, or in need of healing... a lot of times it feels like logic. It feels like an honest truth or “just the way it is.”

But that is NOT the case. And in this episode, I explain WHY.

As I said before, this is one of the most profound and life-changing topics I have ever heard, and this discussion truly provoked me to reshape my vision for my life, and how I wanted to move through this reality.

We are circling back to the Top 5 most common regrets that people have given on their deathbeds, and HOW to avoid living a life that creates these regrets.
The reason it is so crucial to dive into this conversation is to make sure that YOU don’t allow yourself to regret falling short of the life you have the potential to live.

    1.  I wish that I had let myself be happier.

    2.  I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends and loved ones.

    3.  I wish I didn’t spend so much of my life working.

    4.  I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings and needs.

    5.  I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me."

    What is worthiness?
Worthiness is defined as the quality of being good enough; suitable, the quality of deserving attention or respect.

Living Life on Purpose - Turning Chaotic Situations into Non-Events | Episode 97

Living Life on Purpose - Turning Chaotic Situations into Non-Events | Episode 97

I share all the ways in which recovery has enabled me to end the drama and stress of my life and live with ease. Using the example of renewing my driver's license, I lay out the series of ways in which I live on purpose (and you can too!!):
     * putting money away for "unexpected" expenses
    * planning a buffer of time to get to appointments
    * filling up my gas tank as soon as I notice it instead of waiting until the last possible moment * opening up envelope as soon as they arrive, instead of putting them aside for "later"

Be sure to join me for my 100th episode, "Voices, Music and Readings of Recovery." It will be video recorded next week and will air on 3/22/21. I'll be releasing the video on Patreon, so sign up to follow me there! https://www.patreon.com/higherpowercoaching

All too often, we as business professionals don’t answer the question in advance, “What is the life I’m actually trying to build?” Instead, we put our heads down and go to work. When you have a strong and smart leader, one like Katie Hardman, you are asked to answer questions like:

    • Fast forward to the end of 2020 and imagine that this year has been a total success. What has to happen in order for you to say that in the form of quality of life and income generated?
    • How much time off did I take? Why was that important to me and how did that make me feel?
    • What vacations did I go on? Why was that important to me and how did that make me feel?
    • How much money did I save, or debt did I pay down? Why was that important to me and how did that make me feel?
    • With this in mind, how much business do I need to close and how much time off do I need to take?
    • What is the best business structure in order for me to accomplish this?
    • To build that business, who are the best people for me to follow and learn from in order to accomplish this?

Ikigai: A Framework for Finding Meaning, Purpose, and Harmony

Ikigai: A Framework for Finding Meaning, Purpose, and Harmony
In a world where so many people are desperately seeking greater meaning in their lives, the Japanese concept of “ikigai” just might offer the holy grail. Ikigai can be thought of as a framework for understanding who we really are and living a more meaningful life. With the inexorable rise of AI, machine learning, and automation, humans are often left wondering where we fit in. And as the pace of life gets faster and faster, an optimal work life balance seems evermore elusive. Ikigai offers us the structure to find meaning, purpose, and harmony.

Mighty Gems - Sparkling seeds of inspiration
My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style. Maya Angelou Have you ever experienced a ‘short circuit’ in your internal body’s electrical system panel? Sometimes the quick fix is to slam the door shut and pretend everything is working in harmony. We humans are made up of many integrated systems controlled by a central fuse box and fusion of many energies. When in tune – organized and assimilating correctly – this basic fuse box sustains life in balance and harmony. However, when that core inner system is out of balance by such things as pressure we put on ourselves, choices on nutritional fuel, life pacing and environmental toxins we tolerate, dysfunctional issues arise in life. But you can power up your inner systems without pulling all the plugs - join Mighty Gems to learn more!
