It's part three of [Formed.] and if you missed last week with Lee Cummings or earlier this week with Ian Simkins, listen as soon as you're finished with today's episode. Lisa Bevere

    Lisa Bevere

Today on the Thriving Beyond Belief podcast, Lisa Bevere!

Lisa Bevere has spent three decades empowering women of all ages to find their identity and purpose. She is a New York Times bestselling author and internationally known speaker. Her previous books, which include Fight Like a Girl, Lioness Arising, Girls with Swords, Without Rival, and Adamant, are in the hands of millions worldwide. Lisa and her husband John are the founders of Messenger International.

    Do you have a godmother?

If you are anything like I was, my guess is you don’t.

As a young Christian, I remember feeling lost trying to navigate my way through marriage, motherhood, and more.

I’d hear things like, “You need a mentor!” but I didn’t have the faintest clue where to find one.

It felt like trying to find a unicorn! Where were these mythological creatures willing to give their precious time, energy, and wisdom to help me through life? The women I knew were all in the same boat as me—overwhelmed and trying to survive!

Like so many others, I felt I was on my own.

As I travel and meet with countless women, this frustration seems to be the norm. Perhaps you know the feeling.

    It’s time to change that.

I wrote my newest book Godmothers because I see you and I feel your pain.

    I've been there.

I don’t have all the answers, but I know that when we come together as women, we can close the gaps in each other's lives.

So pour yourself of cup of tea (or a double shot of espresso), curl up in your favorite chair, and let’s have some real talk. As you turn the pages of Godmothers, may you laugh at my mistakes, learn from my successes, and discover God's heart for your season.

And who knows? With a little luck, you may even pick up a few street smarts for the road ahead!

    Love,
    Lisa

Strong Isn’t Wrong with Lisa Bevere

I remember the first time I heard Lisa Bevere preach.  I was so impacted by how passionate & confident she was, and it was clear where her confidence came from.  God’s Word was the foundation she was standing on - and the leopard-print shoes she was standing in definitely made me want to hear more :).  Lisa has always been known for saying it like it is, and this podcast episode is no different.  We talked about everything from motherhood (she raised four boys) to why women have been fed the lie that being strong is wrong.  In her new devotional book ‘Strong,’  Lisa says, "Too often Christian women are associated with weakness rather than strength. Sometimes religion has taught us to hide rather than to rise. It is true that we are called to be meek, but not weak.”  Amen sister!  I think you guys are going to love hearing Lisa’s empowering thoughts, and you should probably grab her devotional book as well!!  You can grab her book and follow along with her journey on her instagram feed, @lisabevere.  Hope you enjoy this episode!

What is Your Identity with Addison Bevere

What is Your Identity with Addison Bevere

In this episode of the Chasing Freedom Show, I talk with Addison Bevere - the first male (other than my husband) I have EVER had on the show!

Addison dedicates his life to helping people understand the identity of their calling. He wants people to see themselves the way God sees them...how do you see yourself? Would you consider yourself a Saint?...the truth is: you are.

We talk about Addison's new book: Saints, the meaning of the word 'Saint' and why it's a more appropriate word to describe ourselves than 'Christians'.

This conversation will give you goose bumps. The way Addison spins off scripture is INCREDIBLE.

Gals, this one's for you if you are feeling stuck in your faith, questioning a lot, you're curious, or you just desire to go deeper. Listen in to expand your knowledge of your identity and what you've been called into.
