More recently Lisa found herself needing a bigger challenge and a broader reach than just the HorseWorld, so a desire to become a life coach, lead her to gaining certifications as an NLP coach and practitioner, Emotional Freedom Technique Training and investing heavily to learn from Tony Robbins the master of self discovery and optimisation, Dean Graziosi the master of selling your expertise and Russell Brunson the master of the Sales Funnel.

    Marissa Manrique

Woman, wife, mother, professional, manifestation expert and emotional support therapist. Now speaker and podcaster.

To understand how my brain works is a challenge and it was never easy to be “normal” and fit in. It was always a challenge, as I for some reason, I never saw thing the way other people did, and it made it quite difficult to engage. My normal feeling was of a square peg on a round hole.

The only certainty I always had was how important relationships were for me, my family, my friends, my partner was always priority over anything else. So, realizing that I was doing a lousy job on the most important relationship I would ever have was heartbreaking. Becoming a mother was really transforming, I never had any intention to be one, but the time came, and I had to step up.

I was creating a little monster, terrible temper, very stubborn, when she was 5, we would get in to fights like she was a teenager. So, in the search for help to fix my kid I ended up realizing that was I who needed the fixing as my beautiful 5-year-old daughter was getting the worst example. It was me the one throwing tantrums, being suborns and having a terrible temper, she was copying my behavior.  I have to recognize how hard it was to acknowledge I was off the charts wrong and even a bigger challenge to see that I was the one who had to undergo a massive change.

In this need of becoming the best version of myself for my daughter I also learned how to be a better human being and was able to see my talents, gifts and abilities, but the real transformation was when I worked on letting go of the idea that my abilities, were nonsense, actually believe that all of this was true and own up to the idea I had any talent.

After 8 years of educating myself in personal development, I can confirm that the corporate world is undergoing a transformation where the workforce no longer only includes big 500 companies. In this new virtual reality, you find entrepreneurs, start-ups, influencers, bloggers, vloggers, and more. This new category has forced the need for corporations to have a presence.

What does this mean for you? Well that the picture is much bigger than we could have envisioned, and the possibilities are endless, if you can't find it you create it if it already exists you can make another version of it and lastly you can choose to market all these products on demand.

It is time to think if you are satisfied with your 9 to 5 or if there is more out there.

This was the base for the birth of the Dream Team Life Movement. This movement empowers you to explore beyond the conventions, right there where your creativity, enthusiasm, and mission is.  You may be in the right places but with the wrong attitude, you will still feel a void. You may think you are lost, but deep down in your gut you know it is right but are filled with doubts and can't seem to manifest your vision.

You don't have to find out if you are on the right path, you have to believe you are, I can assure you that your will start to experience an amazing transformation, even if at first it doesn't seem like it.

Barbara Says What Breaks Us Makes Us

Barbara Says What Breaks Us Makes Us

We love interviewing people and are very grateful for the opportunity through this work to meet people like Barbara Majeski, what a human being!

Her story,  as most of us and our guests, has not been easy but that didn’t mean it couldn’t be done or that you needed to be a victim of the circumstances or just accept the outcome, on the contrary, Barbara almost literally made it happen because she had a purpose, to look after her disabled little brother Steven, and instead of feeling that responsibility as a burden it gave her the drive to keep going and developing and making her dreams come true and live a life she loved.

She did have to overcome a divorce and stage 3 colon cancer, no easy tasks when you also have 3 kids, a job, and family to take care of. Is your story similar? are you going throw any pain and are ready to give up? Well as Barbara says, take a pause, dig in, surrender to the higher power, and “swipe left negative thoughts”, find purpose in all the little things that you do, from getting up, to doing your job and follow your instinct and vision, and start to pile up good vibes and good habits because they will drive yu and will be harder to brear!

    About Barbara

Barbara Majeski is a nationally recognized TV personality and lifestyle expert with regular features on the TODAY Show, Inside Edition, Good Day New York, etc. Renowned as the “Curator of the Good Life”, Barbara explores and shares ways to live life with purpose, style, and adventure. Thus started a life long interest in living a life you love no matter what, a business degree and brief career in the city lead to lisa discovering that a conventional job was not possible and the pursuit of making money from her passion horses ensued.

Today Lisa is the founder of the Dream Team Life podcast with her co host manifestation expert Marissa Manrique.

The Heart of the Fathers with Roland Thompson

The Heart of the Fathers with Roland Thompson

He narrowly escaped death three times. Now he says death doesn’t bother him. Rather, It’s the un-lived life that tugs at his heartstrings. Listen as founder of The Heart of the Fathers foundation Roland Thompson discusses his dream that Every single human being lives the reason they are here.

    Highlights/Takeaways:

    • Kids: when you know who they are, they know who you are. Learn from them.
    • Divine Sequences: the results of tiny decisions you’ve made because you’ve followed your heart/spirit
    • Priorities: turning down a job that will pay double because you love the people it would hurt
    • The Chinese Farmer story: Good luck? Bad luck? You don’t know until you see the big picture.
    • Tragedy: If it happens, you’re going to have to do something. There’s no choice. Can’t quit. Gotta keep going.
    • Death: Death doesn’t bother me. It’s the un-lived life that tugs at my heartstrings.
    • Story: No one has your story. Listen to other people’s stories as well. If you can feel what they went/go through, it develops your own personal philosophy of who you are.
    • Challenges: the key is, when you go through challenges, step back. How far can you step back to look at the big picture: Who are we? Where did we come from? Where are we going? The things that happen to you are for a specific reason. When you look for those reasons - like the farmer story - if you look for the good, as opposed to focusing on the bad, good will start coming to you - as opposed to playing the victim; “poor me.”
    • Responsibility: E+R=O. It seems like a simple concept, but it’s not, because not a lot of people do it. That’s why we need people who help others focus on their dreams, reasons and purpose - and stay focused on it, because we have two paths: ours, and the one others choose for us.
    • Taking Ownership: Mit Romney’s book came out and talked about his generation being the worst. He didn’t want that to be his story and asked, “How can I contribute and educate other boomers and turn this around?”
    • Giving Credit: It’s not about me. Even Jesus never took credit for anything he ever did but gave glory to the Father.
    • Entitlement: No one on this planet has any more right to be here than anyone else.
    • Obstacles: “Situations” vs “Problems”. Obstacles are like modules or packets of information that complete you, mature you and make you better and more equipped to go to the next level and accomplish your purpose.
    • Success: The most successful people in the world are those that fail the most.
    • Risk: The people that have it easy are the ones that get to the end of life and say, “I wish I’d taken more risks.”
    • Joy: The joy is in the journey

What is really worth wanting? / Matt Croasmun

Is what you want really worth wanting? We often settle for procedural and productivity thinking—life hacks, listicles, and tips and tricks that offer the life of your dreams. We max out our search in the shallow water of seeking answers to the questions “what do I want and how can I get it?” But Matt Croasmun (Director of the Life Worth Living Program at Yale College) suggests that if we—a society in crisis—want to live lives worthy of our humanity, we need to ask the deepest question possible and let it inform our thinking: What is truly worth wanting?

    Show Notes

    • How can I live the life that I want?
    • Matt’s former dream of being a musician
    • “I was more interested in being famous than in being good”
    • Self-formation versus self-obsession
    • “Giving up my dream to be a composer is either the most courageous or the most cowardly thing I’ve ever done”
    • “The fundamental question is, do I have the right dreams?”

    • "We live answers to the deeper questions, even if we couldn't give you those answers if we were asked point blank.”
    • Autopilot versus intuition
    • “Whenever we aren't all that reflective about our actions, this is the infamous unexamined life”
    • Feeling stuck
    • Reflection can actually streamline our daily routines
    • Is effectiveness what we’re after?
    • “If your ends are bad, then more effective means are hardly the solution”
    • “The great lie of 21st century is that the effectiveness question is the most profound question we can ask. The truth is: It’s merely the most profound question we’re able to answer."
    • “Some of those means landed men on the moon. I mean, we’re pretty good at it”
    • We crave knowledge of the good life
    • Do we want a life of ecstatic joy or peaceful serenity?
