    Elias Choi Buttinger, geb. 1987 in Linz, praktiziert seit 2003 Breakdance (bboying), womit er in verschiedensten Ländern rund um die Erde arbeitet und sich austauscht. Beteiligung an unterschiedlichen Video-, Tanz-, Performance- und Schauspielprojekten, u.a. offizielles Musikvideo von Parov Stelar (Matilda 2008), Aidsgala von Karl Sibelius im Landestheater Linz (2009) und Hass, Hauptproduktion der Wiener Festwochen von Volker Schmidt (2010).
    2014 und 2015 absolviert er die Bachelorstudien Zeitgenössischer Bühnentanz und Tanzpädagogik an der Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität Linz; Erasmussemester in Valencia (Spanien) am Conservatorio Profesional de Danza de Valencia, wo er die meiste Zeit im Department für Choreographie verbringt. 2014/2015 realisiert er das Inter-Dance-Project Linz-Kalkutta, ein interkulturelles Tanzprojekt, das in Kalkutta (Indien) umgesetzt und von LinzEXPOrt gefördert wird. Teil II dieses Projekts, Inter-Dance-Project Linz-Kalkutta #2, wird im Frühling 2018 in Linz uraufgeführt, unterstützt durch das Bundeskanzleramt Österreich.
    2015 erhält er das Startstipendium des bmukk für das Tanz-Filmprojekt Leaflet to Vorticity in den Kalkalpen, premiert im Rahmen des Crossing Europe Filmfestivals Linz 2017. 2015-2017 Tanz in verschiedenen Produktionen von SILK Fluegge dance company in Österreich, Rumänien, Polen und Italien. Außerdem Arbeit mit Hygin Delimat an Performanceprojekten zum Thema Tanz und Architektur, gefördert durch die Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität und das Architekturforum Linz, aufgeführt u.a. in Warschau.
    2016 verwirklicht er mit dem KünstlerInnenkollektiv Narrators Lowdown die Tanzperformance A Flurry Tale für das Taipei Fringe Festival in Taiwan, womit der den Preis für die beste Tanzproduktion des Festivals erhält.
