Episode 112: Darwin Animal Docs, The Critter Hospital In The Galápagos Islands!
Today on Animal Instinct, we hear from Tod Enko, a conservationist who founded the first and only free, year-round animal hospital in the Galápagos Islands: Darwin Animal Doctors.
Tod also created an international humane education program called "A Piggy's Tale," based on the life of his dog. He now endeavors to stop poaching in Sumatra's Leuser Ecosystem, a UN World Heritage Site.
tanztalk mit Gerlinde Roidinger & Sina Heiss
Sina Heiss, geb. 1981 in Ehenbichl/Reutte in Tirol, ist freie Theaterschaffende und Regisseurin. Nach einem 4-jährigen Auslandsaufenthalt und Masterstudium der Theaterregie in New York kehrte sie 2015 zurück nach Österreich und ist seitdem in der freien Szene Linz und Wien tätig.
Sina ist Obfrau des Theatervereins Lonesome George. Aktuelle Arbeiten sind „Erzähl´s den Bienen“ (ein Stück über das Phänomen des Bienensterbens) und „The Bride Project“ (eine internationale Theaterproduktion zum Thema Genderroles und Stereotypen in der Gesellschaft). Außerdem schrieb und inszenierte sie „Odyssee-Reloaded“ (ein Theaterprojekt für Jugendliche mit Migrationshintergrund) am Theater Phönix Linz 2016.
Sina hat mit RegisseurInnen wie Anne Bogart, Tina Landau, Robert Woodruff, Annie-B Parson, Paul Lazar und Ivo van Hove gelernt und gearbeitet. Zuletzt auf der Bühne zu sehen war sie in der Spielzeit 2015/16 als Schauspielerin bei „Er ist wieder da!“ am Theater Phönix Linz.

Gabrielle Sinclair was born in 1982 in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is a professional playwright, and earned her MFA from the Actors Studio Drama School in NYC.
