Rev. Donnie Wilkinson is our guest on this episode of the Louisiana NOW podcast. Donnie is a member of the Louisiana Conference Anti-Racism Taskforce. In this episode, we discuss an important book study that we are all invited to participate in.
The online book study will discuss Jonathan Augustine's book, Called to Reconciliation, and the class will meet every Wednesday in February, over Zoom.
The class will be held at either 12Noon or 7:00pm.

Episode 23 has the delightful story of a couple that ministers to military personnel by fostering their dogs while they're deployed overseas; a mom that lives out "loving thy neighbor" by making goody bags for her friends when they might need some encouragement; a woman that started a Christian-based equine therapy ranch for children who have experienced very difficult times; and a man who shows how Christians care for others by praying outloud for the needs of his servers before every meal.
Paul & Susie Augenstein tell their story of being inspired to find out more about our LGBTQ community. They had no children or family members in this community, but still felt a strong desire to take part in giving this group a community to gather in. Paul was serving as an LDS Bishop, and opened his church meeting to allow his congregation get to know their LGBTQ brothers and sisters a little more. The meeting was a huge success, for the congregation and those within the LGBTQ community. Hear how this amazing couples prompting led to strengthening the understanding of how we can come together with our LGBTQ brothers and sisters.
