Today we were on Zoom. Pastor Marcus teaches on Zechariah and Elizabeth, the Priesthood and the importance of prayer.

In a time when we feel disconnected, Christmas 2020 reminds us that God did what was necessary to connect with humanity by sending Jesus to be born in Bethlehem. After 400 years of silence, God spoke to a man named Zechariah through an Angel to announce he would have a son and name him John. Zechariah's obedience was part of God's plan of redemption, reminding us that Obedience Connects us to seeing God's will take place.

Zechariah and Elizabeth waited most of their lives for a prayer to be answered. The Lord heard their prayer and answered it when they were well along in years. Their faithfulness was rewarded. How long do we prayer for something? Are we praying "Long Time Prayers?"

Lighthouse is a group of friends and family who gather together weekly to experience God. Please join us. We have a seat waiting for you.

All of us have dreams. Some come true, some never do. Some dreams are easier to let go of than others.

And when dreams don’t come true, we can lose heart, lose hope.

No hope, no joy. So what to do?

From the life of Zechariah,

Keep hope alive:
1. Don’t stop praying, because God’s timing is not your timing. (v.7-13)

2. Don’t stop believing God, because God has not stopped believing in you. (v.18-20)

3. Don’t stop wondering, because we have a God of wonders. (v.59-64)

Everlasting faith produces everlasting hope.

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.” (Hebrews 11:1)

God’s salvation is given for our joy, but in his timing, not ours. Our part is to be ready for what God may do at any time in our life.
