    God on the Loose

    God on the Loose

    John explores what Epiphany, Candlemas, and Mark offer as we begin a new year

    He wonders what blows our mind as we listen to these stories?

    In light of that

    ·                     what are the possibilities as we start this new year?

    ·                     what boundaries might we cross?

    ·                     how might we join the work of liberation?

    Honor Your Future By Blessing Your Past

    Honor Your Future By Blessing Your Past

    In this message, Dr. David Jordan shares from Luke 2:22-40 about the remarkable story of Simeon and Anna, two marginalized, outcasted elderly people in the temple courts, who recognized what God was doing in Jesus and blessed it.

    We can learn a lot about giving honor to what is to become by blessing what has been and what’s presently in front of us.

    FBC Decatur is a vibrant and progressive community of faith located in the heart of Decatur, GA. Here you will find people who are:

    • learning to follow Jesus in everyday life;
    • encountering community through authentic relationships;
    • finding meaning by learning how to believe not just what to believe; and in learning how to believe
    • discovering purpose through making intentional, impactful contributions to the world around them

    It’s our hope that your story intersects with our story at FBCD, and that with God’s help, we might write something new and meaningful together.
