This week SM Director, Nick Mercer, spoke about the lie many of us believe: "Believe in Yourself" and the truth that we should not believe in ourselves, but believe in the God who has been, is now, and will always be in control.

This week SM Director, Nick Mercer, spoke about the lie many of us believe: God just wants me to be happy. We see that the Bible does not tell us to pursue happiness but to live in the real joy that comes from living and believing in the real person of Jesus Christ.

Day 314: My Beloved Son (2022)
Fr. Mike elaborates on the significance of the Baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River. He points out that the location of the Jordan River is particularly noteworthy because it's the same river that Joshua crossed over to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land, signifying that Jesus will bring about a new exodus. Additionally, it's the lowest spot on the planet, symbolizing Jesus' humility. Finally, Fr. Mike emphasizes that when we are baptized, we are adopted as beloved sons and daughters of God because what belongs to Jesus by his nature is given to us by God’s grace. Today we read Luke 3-5 and Proverbs 25:27-28.

Continuing on in our series All In, All the Time, we look tonight at the second step to being all in; Be Consistent! Brett Harlow spoke from James 5:7-12 and we talked about what it looks like to be consistent in our faith.
- SM Night is for all students in 6th - 12th grade on Thursday Nights at 7 pm here at the Williamsburg Community Chapel!
- Our first High School Hangout is a Beach Night is postponed because of the weather! We'll do it later in October!

To kick off the new school year, Nick Mercer spoke from John 15:1-11 as we began a new series called "All In, All The Time" and over the next few weeks, we will study that we need to be Committed, Consistent, and we need to do those things in Community!

Welcome back to Summer Nights, our weekly SM night for the summertime for all Rising 6th -12th graders! This week, (7.14.22), Brett Harlow talked about the Pharisee and the Tax Collector from Luke 18:9-14 and how it was their similarity, not their differences that Jesus was drawing our attention to. Join us next week for our LAST summer nights! We'll be grilling out, playing yard games, and enjoying one last time together before we take a break for the rest of the summer.
