#32 Easter Egg – The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask (2000) / Color Out of Space (2019)

Denise wiederum schaut sich Richard Stanleys Film “Color out of Space” (2019) an, der H.P.

    Achtung!
    - Diese Folge enthält milde Spoiler zum Spiel “The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask”.
    - Es gilt eine Spoilerwarnung für “Color out of Space”: zwischen 1:00:29 und 1:05:06 bespricht Denise eine wichtige Stelle im Film.
    - Es gilt eine Triggerwarnung “Color out of Space”: in diesem Film wird explizit selbstverletzendes Verhalten gezeigt.

Dawn of the First Day: Majora's Mask Part 1 - Iron Boots Deep Dive

Look up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane, it's.. the moon crashing down upon us?!
We've met a terrible fate and have to save Termina which is definitely not a reskinned Hyrule from a chaos god.
In Part 1 we do the first 3 day cycle, Woodfall Temple, and everything in between.

Majora’s Mask; A Terrible Fate or a Roaring Success?

Majora’s Mask; A Terrible Fate or a Roaring Success?

In this episode Jay and Eddie discuss Eddie's favourite game of all time, ‘Number 69’ on the list; The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask!

The land of Termina is in peril, with the Moon looming ominously in the sky. What makes Majora's Mask such a polarising game, how is it different to the critically acclaimed Ocarina of Time, and is it misunderstood?

We also discuss Atomic Heart and our plans for future episodes.

Note: We improved the audio this week, but we still had a few issues when we came to edit it, so apologies for the levels and some clipping, we'll get it right soon, we promise!

32: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (with Alan Nichols - A Top 3 Podcast)
Dave is joined by Alan Nichols to discuss The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. What was once little brother to the much more popular Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask has begun to resonate with many of us who grew up with the N64 during our childhoods. Add in some things that hit a bit closer to home since the pandemic started, and we have a game worth revisiting. But did the gameplay hold up? Listen to find out what we think. *I experienced some technical issues wirh my track recording that affected sound quality. Hope it doesn't hinder your enjoyment of the episode! -Dave TIMESTAMPS: Intro and Opening Thoughts 0:43 Personal Histories, Masks and Time Loop 9:30 Story and Setting, Music and "Zelda Stuff" 55:35 Spoiler Wall 1:56:41 Support Tales from the Backlog on Patreon! The N64's Swan Song | The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, is a great game that gets overshadowed by a variety of different things. It came out at a time where the world was becoming more and more enthralled with Sony and what they were doing with the Playstation 2. Even though the game was very good, it did not have the impact on fans in the same way that its older brother, Ocarina of Time, did.  With those two obstacles in its way, Majora's Mask seems to have aged like that of a fine wine, more special with each passing year.

#115 - Of Masks and Monsters
It’s been a big fortnight for news and releases, so the Vookcast brings you a new traditional style episode full of news, discussion and the latest releases. Some big Wii U news this week with new Smash Bros 8-player stages, Splatoon details and sales numbers, new faceplates and the Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. demo for the 3DS and of course the now seemingly regular amiibo minute. Some Monster releases this episode too, with Majora’s Mask 3D and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate garnering some lively chat. The crew chat about the recent news to come out of the Nintendo direct including all the latest updates on amiibo, Zelda, Xenoblade and even Ace Combat!
